What if reincarnation is an amusement portal to one of perhaps many realms from the light universe. Our return would be to experience a new life to ponder back in origin. I would say this portal of reality is addicting for those who return time and time again.

but then wouldnt we only remeeeeember the completed soul state as everything else is wiped wen we die?

it truelly comes down to this.
Us as humans...are unable to let go of the past. We pretend were fine, but issues always stay with us until our last breath.

Imagine,if you had 3 previous lives...you had families, friends, a wife etc.
and u remembered all of that...you truelly think you could COME BACK HERE, and learn a lesson you didnt learn previously? with all that on your shoulders? highly doubt it.
We barley can get over ex's cheating on us, friends lieing, people hurting us in highs chool...or even more so we barley can let OURSELVES forget mistakes we made, and not beat ourselves up over it.
in short...we wouldn't learn what we were sent back to learn...
we wouldn't be able to let go of our past lives, and would seemingly be searching for something we can never get back (the past)

The analogy of the theatre works best for me. "All the world's a stage" says Bill. Imagine if you were playing King Lear in one play and then a pauper in another. It would be hard to focus on your new role if you still thought you were a king.

And as the house lights grow dim, to stretch the analogy a little further, and the footlights come on you are blinded to the reality of the everyday world and focussed on your part. Only with death do the house lights come back on and we once again remember who the real actor is. That is, until the next play...
