Ethical storm as scientist becomes first man to clone HIMSELF

www.dailymail.co.uk

A scientist has achieved a world first... by cloning himself.

In a breakthrough certain to provoke an ethical furore, Samuel Wood created embryo copies of himself by placing his skin cells in a woman's egg.

The embryos were the first to be made from cells taken from adult humans.

Critics fear the technology could be exploited by mavericks to clone babies and accused the scientists of reducing the miracle of human life to a factory of spare parts.

In my opinion.... arrogance in science is a good thing. Not enough risks are taken to develop science. We should be losing more people in the name of space exploration/science/testing than in wars.

I agree. I would love to hang out with myself . Imagine . You wanted twins but had a single child . Get a clone worked up and bam . 2 of the same kids . Only a few months apart .
I would love to see how they grew and what if any differences there were.

The answer to the ethical storm is likely to be -- eventually - a decision taken to terminate said scientist and all scientists possessing such or similar knowledge. Will it come through assassination, execution, or being rounded up and put into camps? Hard to say. But I am certain they have been doing this sort of thing for a long while now...

Yes but children shouldn't be experiments.

I am told since 1962 we have had the ability to clone ourselves, or cloned already.
