That battle footage is from WWII, one of the burning carriers is the princeton, lost in the battel of the letey gulf in 1944. You can even see the japanese insignia as one of the kamikaze planes is shot down as it flys by.
One of the other buring carrier pics is the lexington.

Wouldnt you say it was a joke if you knew maybe someone might kill your family after you told something like that?

So if you think on that level then the "War of the Worlds" show was real and Orsen Wells was threatened to retract the show and call it a fake.
