Here's the story, breaking now.

Very anxious to learn what the hell was going on. The few details available so far say the airplane touched down short of a perimeter road, that seems to be a significant distance from the runway.

BBC is reporting second hand information that the aircraft lost all power including electronics.

The quote from the BBC is that the aircraft "lost all power" and the pilot had to glide the thing in to land.

Planes don't just lose all power, do they?

We have had an electrical storm over London this afternoon, I suppose it could be possible that it was affected somehow...
