You might also want to note that the green movement heartily opposes ethanol because it leads to food shortages and massive environmental destruction. Green proponents want solar, wind, tidal, and geothermal energy to replace combustables altogether.

Of course that would involve educating yourself, and we can't have THAT, can we?

Point to arrogance.............Heliosprime is a retired environmental scientist who specialized in energy research.

In the US corn based eth' fuel has been yet again mandated to the point of building two new coal based power plants in the midwest to supply electricity for the conversion cycle..............pretty stuipd isnt it............

The green movement is a religion not based on real fact.

I believe the prophecy to be in reference to Islam. If you notice the color that represents their politics and religion...It's GREEN! Thier flag is green...and they paint everything in their regeme green. Even the doors, the railing around the mosque, and even some of the seats. They believe that the highest reward in heaven is achieved by killing as many unbelievers as you can via suicide. This religion exists for one kill and destroy. Hence, death and Hell followed.

Excellent point, I had not realized that side of this at all. I do find it strange that environuts do call everything green even when it really is meaningless to the environment.

Will do some research on the Islam is green thing. Great point.

how is it meaningless to the environment? plants
plants are green

and you should be an "environut" if you believe in a creator god
if you think god created this planet, show it a little respect.

this forestlady post is worth considering more deeply....

I think forestlady is pointing out that the 4th horseman is 'Death'
and the green/pale/yellowish color of the horse is only an adjective
~ the 4 colors of the 4 horses are used as differentiation only, i don't think there is a hidden 'code',
and that's where I differ from the OP~

what is more important to my reading of the content of the verse,
is that 'Death' (the 4th horseman) will hold sway over 25% of the Earth,

and will cause death by 4 various means; ---> by the Sword, by Starvation(hunger), by diseases,
and by the beasts of the Earth ... the most interesting one of the 4.

-> the beasts could mean the food chain animals, with all the present mad-cow diseases, and various avian flu, turkey and poultry diseases that are escalating every month, and spreading to other protein animals (beasts) in our processed meat food supply.

the 4th horseman of the Apocalypse who visits death upon 25% of the human population by way of the sword - hunger- disease and the beasts of the earth...... the 'beasts of the Earth' may have its meaning explained by referring to Daniel 7:17

... These great beasts, which are four, four kings, which shall arise out of the Earth [...]

perhaps im chasing a unsound interpetation/reasoning, but since the Daniel book is dealing mostly with the end-time apocalypse & tribulation & armageddon... i suggest that the Revelation passage dealing with the final 4 horsemen and the 4th means of death, which is 'beasts of the earth'
will more precisely be the 4 beastly kings of the globalized world as prophecied in Daniel.
the 4 beastly kings could be any number of conflicting blocs, be it western christanity and islam versus each other and in conflict with socialism vs predatory capitalism... each ideology tearing the others to pieces.

Oh, and to

here's some additional reading for your pleasure...

in response to your statement:
"This religion exists for one purpose ... to kill and destroy [...] "

in contrast to this single, contrary viewpoint, dtd 13 May 2008;

Good point............but what has troubled me is the translation of the text to "pale" horse rather than the direct translation of "green" horse.

The pursuit of a rabid "green" agenda has already shown up as damage to the food supply through the corn to ethanol issue.

The green movement will strangle the entire planet with its insane squashing of anything carbon, protecting animals who aren't even in danger (example polar bears) and the other insane animal protection idiocy.

These things also tie into your theory of "beast"............

The banning of DDT has killed millions in africa with the massive explosion of malaria...............and the DDT ban has already been proven to have been based on a lie.............

The greek word transliterated as pale is "chlora" as in chloraphyll. Yes is does in the spirit of the "green movement" Need I say more!!
