The landing gear "may" have been a cause time will tell, during the time it was deployed
however Do we have any mathematicians who can compute the chances of the first major
crash of a Boeing 777 fly by wire aircraft since it was introduced 1996?? Occuring with
security forces protecting Prime Minister Brown at a Locus not epicenter of an ellipse
surrounding the Prime Minister as they drove underneath the plane as it was crashing?
Do we have any idea of the EMI protections used by security forces protecting the Prime Minister? from IED's or cellphone coordinating
This is actually plausible on a Mythbusters
scale of Confirmed, Plausible, Busted, scale. Disruption of Cell phone signals takes incredible power to
make sure every frequency is blasted, Have we just given the enemy another way to affect our lives?
Boeing 777 is a fly by wire aircraft, What took the plane down was a total power generation outage
before the emergency deployment of the tail and right wing aux generators could be effective the controls
lost it. Do we need to rethink all fly by wire aircraft not military hardened for EMI?
PS - It was not fuel, they had plenty even after an uneventful flight non-stop flight from HongKong.
It was not birds as the chances of birds disabling both engines at same time with no apparent damage
seen on first inspection of compressors.
The following theory is very plausible especially since the chances of Prime Minister Brown and defensive measures which follow him increase the
chances of a correlation from 1% to 40%. IMHO.
PPS - Boeing is to be congratulated for the Hull Integrity of their 777
"No Violation of the Law of Unintended Consequences"
