STICKING POINTS FOR STEM CELLS

A technique for developing stem cell lines from a single cell plucked from a human embryo is unlikely to pass muster with the Bush administration, even though the latest experiments indicate that the embryo can survive the procedure. At least that's how the initial reactions to last week's research revelations are shaping up.

it will take the religious, moral/ethical pushers to keep the hell out of it.
then, MAYBE it can get somewhere....

It seems anything resembling a "cure" Is suppressed to the fullest .
Why cant we get over these issues . They dont even want us testing and we can apparently do it with no harm to the embryo.

I would say thats its worth looking into eh? Even if its a long shot .

of course it is worth looking into. even if it is a one in a million shot....
this is the learning process and i too don't understand how something that could possibly be a cure for who knows what is frowned upon.

the argument before was it destroyed a fetus or an embryo right.....ok, so those who oppose the research, what is the problem now?

i think we should be all over this like stink on doodoo
