My home town is Johnstown Pa. In the past 6 months I have seen more of the trails then ever. I have also noticed a huge increase in late evening air traffic. On one day, the sky looked like a checker board and not only got my attention but seemed everybody was noticing the sky. I counted 37 jets in the sky at one time that day. I have never in my 46 years on earth seen this before in my area. I'm not crazy nor stupid, something is up and it seems no real answers are being given. There was a pattern and not just random trails so there must have been a reason. The aircraft were to high up to see what type of planes were being used.

Have you ever considered the possibility that the oncoming front is causing changes to the upper atmosphere that are more conducive to the formation of persistant contrails? Don't you think that that makes more sense than a cockamamie theory that thousands of planes, pilots, crew, ground personnel, etc are involved in a secret program?

Absolutely. I've considered many possibilities and I'm still not convinced that this is normal.

As Skeptical Believer posted above, the trails appear to be there for a reason. When I observed this activity, I was left with the impression that the trails were serving some sort of purpose. Perhaps this exercise is a very lame attempt to tackle global warming.

Who are you working for.

What do you think is being released in the chemtrail?

Vitamins to help us out? Medications to change our thought process?

so your asking me to trust my government eh? lol, no way, would you doubt all the other test that have been done on the unsuspecting public? do you doubt that thousands of people cannot keep a secret as you put it?

wonders.. why no chem/con trails have been seen in my area over the past week and 1/2, extremely quiet skies but all conditions are still the same as it was when the trails did appear? We had days of 100% humidity, days of lower humidity, we had cooler temps, we had warmer temps, even had a front come and go, another one is expected today.

if it is really weather related, why is there no real pattern??

and I didn't know chem/con trails only happened in the winter? well it's an 85 degree winter day here. and the days i took the pics, temps were in the 80's and the 60's.

I have never stated that “secret” tests were not done in the 50’s and 60’s. By all indications, this is true. However, you have to keep in mind that this was a totally different era. It is probably difficult for most people under the age of 30 to understand the profound shift in attitudes that occurred in this country in the 60’s and 70’s. Not only did our attitudes toward the government change as a result of issues like the Watergate scandal, but our appreciation of the effects of our actions on the environment was completely changed (do you remember when Love Canal first came out?). Your views of how people in the government act are simplistic in the extreme.

Let me put it to you this way. A hypothetical situation: Lets say you work for a company that makes “Compound X” you discover that this chemical is being used in a secret government chemtrails program. What do you do? What do you think most reasonable, responsible caring people would do?

Another hypothetical situation. Lets say that you are in the military and the same situation occurs. You discover evidence of a secret program like “chemtrails.” What would you do? What do you think that most people would do?

Frankly your attitude irks me a bit. You do not have some sort of monopoly on moral strength. People who are in the military or who work for the government are not a bunch of cartoonishly evil monsters. They are human beings just like you. They go to church or not, just like the rest of us. They have kids that they love and care for, just like the rest of us.

And so what about all those "human beings just like us" back in the day when all those horrible tests were being performed. The last date on that list is 1997 i believe... that isnt that long ago at all. Personally I think the government never stopped testing. Period.

The western sky was filled with chemtrails in line formation two evenings ago. We watched them lay them down 30mins before the sun was down. Sat uptop my deck watching the trails span out to dark grey clouds.... Then suddenly we got some gusts of wind from that direction........ nice to know that they are trying to take out one of the richest counties in the world. It was clear to see what they're plan was and how well it was exicuted. Just in time to fall into the windstream. Ah America.. how we love thee

left my house for work this morning, 7:30am, here in North West Ohio and looked up at the sky..

chemtrails everywhere, and then I couldn't believe it..

there was one that made a perfect number 4....

I wish I would have had my camera with me..

was it accidental or some type of arial chemtrail communication ?

Here in northern Maine we are on the so-called "Great Circle" route from North America over New Foundland to Europe. There is no question that some days we have chemicals being sprayed and not so on other days.

Like other posters have already said, a normal contrail does not spread out to as much as 30-50 times it's original diameter, reach from horizon-to horizon, and last for hours. A chemtrail does.

I have actually witness the spraying "switch off" on two ocassions. "Reason" Magazine had a compelling explanation a couple years ago. They conjectured that the chemtrails are being created in an attempt to "control global warming" by increasing the Earth's natural cloud cover...wacky at first blush, I know, but that's what they reported. The article even included the supposition that the airlines were simply "running their fuel rich" to create the chemtrails, and that they were being subsidized for this added expense by the Federal Government.

Some days they are very heavy in northern Maine--often before a natural cloud front moves in...almost like they are indeed supplementing the cover, or seeding the cover. Other times we can go several days without seeing a chemtrail.

Some days you can see two planes at what appear to be similar altitudes and on parallel courses, with one plane spraying, and the other not spraying. Try to blame that on normal condensation. Sorry, campers, I wasn't born yesterday.
