con, have i properly dismantled your arguments? you seem to be completely ignoring every point of yours that i've refuted. all the hypocrisy and
bigotry are now made quite apparent...
so where's your response?
Let me know and I'll do the dirty work for you since you seem to be very fascinated with the topic but unaware of Google.
Why are there so few atheistic politicians compared to theistic politicians?
Because the majority does not vote for them. Not because it's illegal for them to run or hold office. It's because they lose. There was a thread here on ATS somewhere where someone brought up some 'laws' that stated it was illegal for atheists to run or hold office in some states but they were all old laws. Kind of like the laws saying it is punishable up to five days in jail for wearing your saber on the left hip instead of the right hip. It's against federal law and the states that do still have these laws on the books don't uphold them.

SECTION 2. Person denying existence of Supreme Being not to hold office.
No person who denies the existence of the Supreme Being shall hold any office under this Constitution.

So it goes back to the voters. Then there's the despots. Let me know and I'll do the dirty work for you since you seem to be very fascinated with the topic but unaware of Google.

It is true that the federal law would hold, laws are still there on the books though.

Not true actually. South Carolina, 2007:

No person who denies the existence of the Supreme Being shall hold any office under this Constitution.
