Great story!

I caught this on CNN yesterday and my mind started to race about the possibilities.

I suggest thawing out Walt, regenerating his freezer burned body to make him bigger, faster, more powerful than ever before with the sole intention of fighting Michael Eisner to the death (cue Star Trek fight music) to reclaim his now corrupted media empire.

Side note: Didn't Mr. Disney die from 'lung cancer'?

Can you imagine reviving a 'human' heart after a long period of inactivity?

Mind boggling.

And to be able to not just 'repair' damaged tissue, but totally replace it with healthy ones; thus increasing one's life span.

Yeah, Walt did succumb to Lung Cancer AFAIK

On a serious note though, If this tech. could be used in other organs say someone had
their gall bladder removed; I wonder if it would be possible to remove it, clean and repair it, then stick it back in. VERY cool stuff IMO.

Very exciting research. One correction is that the hearts did not stop beating for four days. They simply inserted the cells four days after they had heart attacks.

Geron has also had success in other studies. The one I am most excited about is when they made crippled mice walk by using stem cells to rebuild their spinal cords.
