Scientists create beating hearts in lab

U.S. researchers say they have coaxed hearts from dead rats to beat again in the laboratory and said the discovery may one day lead to customized organ transplants for people.

"The hope would be we could generate an organ that matched your body," said Doris Taylor of the University of Minnesota Center for Cardiovascular Repair.

Closer and closer , until the time when we shall be able to grow body parts, with no tissue rejection for ourselves.

I mean they have got dead rats hearts to beat ... what would happen if they got a dead human heart to beat ...maybe not to long after death ..

Although the transplant issue is the major breakthrough imho.


or how about a 30 year service for your heart ?.. whip it out clean it up , slap it back in the patient, ty mr smith that will be 2 million bucks .
