I was goth, but that was 20 years ago.

I'm still a geek.

Just curious, (because I'm so hideously out of date) do "nerd rocker chicks" count as geek?

The nerd rocker chicks I know certainly are geeks. The one's I know are into comic books, bad horror movies, dressing up like zombies while playing in a local kickball league and prefer computer side conversations to real ones.

That's hot!

I am indeed a geek girl. How geeky, you might ask?

Proof of My Geek Status

I got my first PC at 10, after begging my mom for a year. All
the Commodore 64.

In high school, I put off breaking up with someone because he had Pool of Radiance on his PC and I hadn't finished it yet.

The last book I read: 1632 by Eric Flint

My TV motto: if in doubt, turn to the Space channel. There's always something good on.

A sampling from my DVD collection: First Wave series, Star Trek (all of them), Babylon 5 series, Firefly, Seven Days series, V (TV movies and the series), X-Men series (the cartoons) and Gargoyles (one of the best cartoons ever!)

I've been known to enjoy nerdcore. (WARNING - a bit of bad language)

This makes me laugh.

Is this adding up to geeky yet?

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

I just feel sorry for the bank teller who had to enter it into the registry!

too bad pools of radiance 2 sucked so hard i really wanted to play but it had too many bugs, and you had to dl a patch to install it cause other wise it would remove some important system files... oh man the POR2 forums were chaotic during this.

That was a tragedy of epic proportions.

Speaking of all things geeky - Primeval season 2 has started. Time travelling dinosaurs rock!

I'm a girl geek.

I don't get a lot of action either.
Not that I'm looking or interested.

I'd rather play computer games, read a novel, watch a highly intellectual foreign film with subtitles and/or fix my own home appliances than do the makeup/high heels/fingernail painting stuff.

Hmmm ... most of the guys I've been involved with have been geeky in one form or another, and it hasn't worked out so well, come to think of it. Maybe I need somebody who sits home and watches football.

Nah. I'd have to fight for the remote to watch Mythbusters, so I'd rather be single.

Lol! I think everyone has in inner geek, even football & baseball fans are geeks when you think about it, it's all about knowing statistics isn't, and we know that statistics and all that stuff are supposidly nerdy

It's just the most popular form of nerdism that's all.

One day interesting stuff will reign!

Do any of you guys ever watch that show Beauty and the Geek?

I was sort of pissed that Dave (the geek who won it all) asked the girl geek for a date and was rejected, even though he rocked. It's like, the show failed him.

I suppose this should go in rant, but this thread brought it up in my mind.
