as you say money is/has been the motivational factor of probably every war mankind has had the mis-fortune to witness. afterall the politicians/bankers etc who initiate the proceedings do not have to deal with the consequences like the returning veterans, families and members of the public.
as long as they make money, we deal with the aftermath.

historically it seems that instruments invented for war sooner or later come back to haunt, e.g. the opium wars. what is even more unfortunate is that when we are led to believe that we are living in multicultural societies this continues to happen and probably will continue to happen.

the question then remains is what are we prepared to do
