Ron Paul Whacks the Hacks: Fox SC debate (Video Added)

<<  1    2  >>

Topic started on 10-1-2008 @ 09:44 PM by spacedoubt

Holy moly!

Did any of you see that?
He took down the neo-con soldiers, one at a time.
He even schooled the moderators, on how to run a fair debate, with that stupid
9-11 truther question.

And what's with all the bigoted stuff from McCain anyway?

The second one has the 9-11 stuff in it.

I'll edit the post to add the other parts too.

Thanks Spacedoubt you always on top of things! Do you ever sleep?

I'm watching what I think is the rerun, just saw Ron Paul answer about the Iran speedboat scandal! I tell you what I'm kind a like starting to like the guy the more I hear him.

Too bad I can't vote for him as that would be flip flopping!

I think Ron Paul felt degraded by the question to him
that second guessed his electability.

And most of the other candidates just smile and laugh
at him when he talks makes me think that THEY think ...
he is nuts. Though I do agree that I don't think he belongs
in the Republican Party as his views and opinions are
way off with the herd. However, RP being the smart man he is
knows as well as I do that he didn't stand a chance of winning
as a Libertarian candidate and acting Republican makes him
more visible and thusly more electable. However, be advised
his links to the Republican Party will be short lived if he ever
takes the oath of office.

I think RP is a Libertarian seeking the office under a presumed
Republican platform due to the spotlight he gets under the assumption.

Bunch,

LOL, yes I sleep sometimes.
I play Fred Thompson Debate responses. Knocks me right out!
It's not too late, and I won't tell anyone you flip flopped!

simonsays,

That question about electability was horrible to ask. Wasn't it?
Paul handled it pretty well, I think.

This was definitely one of Ron's best performances in a debate thus far in his campaign. I am glad he was able to shoot down the alleged 9/11 Truther affiliation on a national stage, but I wish it didn't even have to come to that. I wish "journalists" like the moderators would have the decency and the respect for all candidates.

It is clear that Ron Paul has turned into a lightning rod for the republicans. I wish he would get more questions on his domestic policies and i wish he would get more in depth about what he would do to fix things if he were the leader. Perhaps that will come in time, i know there are a lot more events scheduled and he has enough money to go the distance.

I will say that he has held 10 consecutive terms in congress as a member of the republican party, not the libertarian party. I wish people would stop calling him a libertarian because while his ideals may be close, he is more republican than anything.

This is falling into place for Paul. I have the same thought as one of the others comments that "yes" he doesn't fit the GOP mold. But really the mold isn't a 2 party mold any more. It's a one central big government operation. The parties are only there to keep a balance of support for a government that has long grown outta control. We need to wake up to this slight of hand trick by these people who we are putting into power. Ron Paul is taking a very crafty way to get support.

He knows he's going to get slandered by the media with every word he utters. The craft of this is 10 years ago the media would just act as if he isn't there. But thanks to youtube-myspace and the likes he is out there. And the more anti-establishment he is the very slow his coverage is growing. Just a year ago most people didn't give him any air time. Now every radio station wants him on. Some to support "most" to try to dis-credit but he hasn't wavered. But all in all I see all of my brother and sisters of this country falling into this media hype crap "AGAIN". Wake up we are being sold with every lie these politicians say. Stop and think about these people? We have been under a two named political bi-oply for the last 20 YEARS! 20 years people.....Our leads have had the same last names for 20 years....20! Think about this! And you tell me that there is a difference our political party?

Bush/Clinton- For the last 20 years...Do you see any thing wrong with that? If Hillary wins thats 24 years??? possibly 28???? So some need to wake up to what happening here? And just food for thought the administrations have pretty much been in power for longer than 40 years go back and look at our presidents for the last 40 years look at the administaration and look at how the names have switched around in the offices and lobbist firms that are still very much connected to this very day.

i don't know how you could watch that 2nd video and not feel a mount of respect for him. i loved the way he put the moderator in his place and asked if he could move on to the issues at hand.

and that second to last answer about electibility was equally impressive. i think they tried to make it look like they tripped him up there with that question about the iranian boat conflict. they didn't seem to get that he was speaking about the situation from a higher level, not just answering about that particular conflict. they used that to make him look like he didn't know what he was asked. aside form that i think he did very well.

It's fortunate the these clips have been saved.
And that there are other clips available.

Fox got even DIRTIER that usual!!
Because when Fox re-ran the debate show lat night. Some of Pauls best responses were not there.

They edited out the Part where he ripped into Carl Cameron, and they also removed short pieces where the applause level was high.

On a lighter note.
He Told Sean Hannity NO, to a post debate interview.
Paul rejected Fox!!

RP is no fool !!
He knew they were gonna try to smear and bash him
in the post interview. He did the best thing he could have done ...
steer clear of the smear .... LOL

The media is trying to eliminate candidates ......
and RP is on their agenda

But I found some video of the blimp but none yet showing it
in the air at SC debate.

I wanted to bump this..
only because it appears that Fox News is having Youtube remove the debate clips.

Watch them while you can..Hopefully these will be spared..Who knows..

Thats right. It is in their legal right to do so. But up until this debate, they haven't made that request. Wonder why now?

In my opinion
it's called "death by a thousand pin pricks"
they are removing RP from the race
one pin prick at a time

Heheh I wonder...

Surely someone has these clips saved to hard disk and I'd imagine people will keep posting them regardless of whether youtube removes them.

THe RP supporters are in a fierce battle with the mainstream media and we all know it -- the word is still getting out but the one thing I run up against more than anything is people being afraid to vote their conscience for fear of "wasting" a vote...

If America would stop worrying about "wasting" votes and vote for what they believe and what's right, RP would be the frontrunner by a mile.

There is no such thing as a "wasted vote," unless of course you fall for the two-party politics propaganda that is crammed down America's throat by the media.

A vote for freedom is NEVER a wasted vote.

I was on the fence about who to vote for. Then I saw Paul's answer about his "electability".

He has my vote.

Wasted vote or not, I'll know I've voted for the candidate who believes in and will uphold the constitution. And that is the leader we need right now.

Thats great!
Ron Paul wins over the girl next door!

Pretty powerful clip, and I'm glad he got a little angry.
I pulled it out of the above list so others could easily see it.
