Tony Blair joins JP Morgan

It is not known how much JP Morgan will pay him, but some estimates say more than $1m (£500,000) a year. The bank said he had a "unique perspective".

Mr Blair earlier told the Financial Times he planned to take up "a small handful" of similar roles with other companies in different sectors.

Seems to be common practice. After all, the real money is in business, not politics (unless you're crooked).

My company has a former chairman of the FCC hired on as a consultant. It's a pretty sweet gig. He works from home and only works when he's asked. It's all salary, so he's living the good life.
