hi there,

seems like someone has found something odd in an apollo image scan:

it's this image:

AS12-46-6806 on nasa site

same image without cropping

is this the ceiling of a studio or some sort of scanning artifacts?!

found this on www.gerhard-wisnewski.de...

Never seen that one before.

Something questionable though: Its low res and with noticable jpg artifacting, the one on the NASA page is so much higher quality. How it can be the "original" scanned is completely beyond me. I mean you'd think they use like... Standard scanner resolution?

So regardless of it being a scanner error, its obvious its gone through some kind of Crapification Filter (TM).

i must admit i don't know how exactly they scan these, but obviously the second one shows a bit more (revealing ?!) details on the corner. and yes, the quality is terrible.

You people kill me.

Do you really think that the government is that stupid where they would post a picture that shows proof they faked the landings?

Give it up, we landed on the moon. Stop wasting people's time with these rediculous claims.

WHERE do you see someone stating that we've never been on the Moon?

Did the author mean the ceiling of a studio on the moon? Perhaps I was confused.

It hasn't been explicitly stated, but it is certainly being hinted at with the very title of the thread. If the OP was certain--like most of the people on the planet--that the Apollo program went to the moon......there would be little suspicion of a "studio" portion visible in an Apollo image.

Like me....COOL HAND inferred exactly what the OP was implying.

I apologize: i didn't notice this statement before.
Also i agree with you, and sorry again

To the OP: there's nothing out of the ordinary in this image, IMHO.

I'm getting 'Problem loading page' errors on the hi-rez links, below.

Anyone got a good link?

www.lpi.usra.edu...

eol.jsc.nasa.gov...

OK, nevermind, the top one loaded:

Hard to tell, but probably an artifact. Wonder why they'd crop it?

This one
eol.jsc.nasa.gov...

This one
history.nasa.gov...
has nothing to do with this thread

Is the camera mounted on the lander, under some portion of it that juts out? It does look like there is some sort of mechanism on the left of the image.

If you removed all the "rediculous" claims on ATS' Aliens and UFOs forum, well, there wouldn't really be much to read, would there?

What might seem ridiculous to you might be worth pursuing, if only to clarify what's going on. NASA has already admitted that they might have reshot some photos. (Brian O'Leary - NASA could have falsified some portion of the video and photographs of the Moon landings to replace those damaged or lost during the actual mission). That doesn't provide any proof, though it is intriguing.

Anyone is certainly free to skip all posts related to the Moon landing, you know - thus it's only wasting your time if you click on one.

Just for the record, the pictures could be shot in a studio here on Earth but that does not mean we didn't go to the moon. Maybe the actual pictures were too sensitive to show to the public and they made less sensitive ones here.

If you wonder about the truth in this matter, there a great book titled, "Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA." All the sources in this book can be traced. Look it up.

The ORIGINAL HIGH RESOLUTION picture has already been posted:
eol.jsc.nasa.gov...

The "mechanism" is actually just some dirt, lol!

This picture is so high res that you can see the clue thats holding the crosshair window in place.

The cameras were chest mounted on the astronauts, it looks to me like it is picking up the edge of something on the suit itself, or a lip on the top of the lens. Heck it could be the guys glove for all we can tell...

Looks like Merka got it...
