hi CSIfan

Kucinich is getting his wish! There will be a hand counted recount, according to the article I read on Fox's website. There were way too many anomalies for there not to be, and I'm glad one politician stuck his neck out for the good of America.

As for the Ron Paul racism thing. You can google it, YouTube it, or whatever it, Ron Paul is not a racist. When those views were written into a newsletter that he publishes, he was out of congress, and practicing his medical profession full time. It makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever to tie him to it, other than the fact that his name is on it. If something racist, or homophobic, or any kind of hatred was publish in 'O' magazine, would Oprah then be held responsible, I should hope not. Ron Paul does not read everything that was ghost-written in his newsletter, just as Forbes doesn't read everything in Forbes Magazine.

It's just MASS media once again, being told to shill for one candidate, or smear another, because their bosses tells them to.

Are his claims to enforce our Constitution the rantings of a crazy man? Or, are the words of Bush: "the Constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper" more pleasing to you?

CSIfan,

You bring up a very interesting point.

People change. Whether or not he said the aforementioned things, he would not support them now. For one, I highly doubt he said that in the first place, but that is irrelevant at this point.

The smear campaign seems to have worked at confusing supporters and others.

He certainly could have grown out of racist leanings, if he was indeed racist at one point .

If racism is brought into the issue of politics, what about every other Republican candidates' anti-Muslim leanings? Why are they not questioned for that opinion?

Huckabee said the Iranians will go to hell and McCain, Romney, Giuliani and Klan have similar opinions on the matter.

What politicians are not racist may I ask?

Some newswires are not to be trusted. CNN being one of many. Disinformation (propaganda) being the goal. Vote / Election fraud in the US has been happening for some time.
NH, Iowa, if the fraud doesn't stop here, it will continue and you will end up with another president you don't want for another 4 years. Another president that will further ruin your country and endanger the world.

This MUST stop here. Its like watching Katrina crossing the Caribbean.

It's too late to wait for legislation, amend laws, gov't legalities (which aren't going to happen). The Viet Nam war was stopped because of the protest rallies. A groundswell of pubic outrage that will not silenced.

Patriot Americans, you can't drop the ball on this one. It truly has global consequences.

--the view from Canada.

Of course it was fraud. Again.

That's so cool. I've always said Kucinich is a stand-up guy. He will get my primary vote.

Knowing he has little to gain from it, he still makes the argument to do the right thing. I've been a big Dennis supporter all year, especially since his HR 333 resolution to impeach Cheney.

So what will his move be? Will he run as an independant, ensuring 10% do not vote Democrat? Maybe the Dems see the reallity of huge voter turnout compared to the Repubs and see that Ron Paul is truly a non issue.
Either way we will get a clean result at the end because all the looneys will have something to whine about over a candidate that makes no difference instead of the Florida/Ohio debacles of the past.

Its called change. Consuming the status quo! Are you scared?

Maybe you have a job in tax preparation?

I don't know if this has been suggested yet but wouldn't it be an idea for Ron Paul supporters in all areas to arrange through the internet that if they vote for him to register that vote independently outside the voting hall so then the numbers can be collated seperately from the "official" votes and if something is off about it then it can be declared in court from external register. If you see what I mean, maybe anyone that is part of the Ron Paul movement would take this on board for when the innevitable rigging takes place it can be contested properly.

Yep yep yep. This is already happening, and anyone supporting Ron Paul should really, REALLY, hook up with the closest meetup group and register. We are pledging to do EXACTLY that, and keep a separate, traceable, verifiable, auditable account of the votes.

Don't be surprised if when you get there you see Diebold voting machines being used as doorstops, copies of the patriot act being used as toilet paper, and all of Bush's Executive Orders adding fuel to the fireplace.

Hopefully this breaks out into more mainstream media, and hopefully the NAACP will step up and endorse Ron Paul.

*UPDATE*
Democratic Hand Recount Results in NH show substantial differences from Diebold machine counts

www.sos.nh.gov...

This all the more makes me want to see the Republican Hand count results. Because what is happening here is that votes are being taken away more often than not, it appears. So if those votes were carefully being swindled over to the Republican side... Jesus.

edit to add:

or possibly manipulated and redistributed among the Democrats...

The fact that the discrepencies are so large in some cases really has to make you wonder what in the heck is going on. It is a travesty that so many people's votes were either miscounted or redirected, or whatever the hell happened to them. Those numbers should match very close on recount. How can anyone put any faith in the system with this going on?

Look at Manchester Ward 5 under Obama. Off by 39 votes. In that case they were added to him first time around. On recount it was 39 votes lower.

And under Bedford for Richardson there were 184 initial and 0 on recount?

And again Manchester Ward 5 under Edwards, 255/217. 38 votes off. Tell you what, some heads need to roll at that Ward, or someone should demand to see the code on that machine they are using.

UPDATE 2:

Cuts up to eight inches long are spotted in newly delivered ballot boxes.

No worries, say New Hampshire officials when cuts up to eight inches long are spotted in newly delivered ballot boxes. "The only seal that counts is the one on top."

Except the seal on top can be peeled off without leaving a trace, then reaffixed.

Black Box Voting has been doing a chain of custody exam for the New Hampshire Primary's recount. On Wednesday night, Election Defense Alliance's Sally Castleman mentioned a troubling observation: After following the ballots back to the ballot vault following Wednesday's recount, she had the opportunity to enter the ballot vault, and noticed what looked like cuts, or slits, in the side of many ballot boxes. New Hampshire officials assured us that these cuts, which slice through the tape, seals and box itself do not permit access to the uncounted ballots, pointing to a label on the boxtop which they call a seal.

But the "seal" can be removed, like a Post-it, and reaffixed. So it's not a seal all!

We wanted to know if the ballot boxes were slit while in the vault, in the transport van, or came from the towns with slits in them.

I confirmed this morning that many if not most of the boxes scheduled to be counted today had slits in them. I went out when a vanload of ballots arrived, and saw that they were slit at the time they arrived by van. Susan Pynchon and I drove to two nearby towns and watched as they handed over their ballot boxes to "Butch and Hoppy", the two men who drive around in the state in a van picking the ballots up. We observed as they loaded boxes of ballots into the van with no slits at all in them. We videotaped each of these up close. They arrived at the destination without slits. The label on the top was affixed, but in some cases was crumpled, or also damaged.

Of cource, the label affixed to the top can be removed and reattached without telltale signs.

No vault tonight

A significant departure from the normal chain of custody path occurred tonight. They decided not to use the vault to store the ballots.

Mah oh man. This just gets uglier by the minute. As of yet we have no official explanation for the differences between the hand counted and machine counted votes, especially on the recount. What in the world is going on?

UPDATE 3

www.bradblog.com...

The original total for the above 5 candidates was 1,411. In the recount there was a cumulative vote loss of 151, an average error rate of 10.7%.

Now if there were vote switching that would mean that the total of votes would remain the same, just the crediting of those votes would change.

In this case all the vote totals remained the same for the other candidates other than the five main ones. If there was an error in the scanning, tabulating, or reporting it should have affected some of the smaller candidate's numbers, which did not happen.

Many other precincts had errors both positive and negative, but none as large as Manchester Ward 5. What sticks out even more is the fact that the error is consistently negative for the candidates.

These are some really good points. But still, that error rate is just unacceptable.

Edit to add:
And here's why no one should pay much attention to straw polls: Jeez sickening-

The Florida GOP is caught selling multiple tickets to Mitt Romney supporters. There was less than 100 Mitt Supporters at the Straw Poll but he ended up with something like 800 votes! Romney needs to be exposed for this. The Florida GOP needs to be sued!

If you paid by credit card, do a charge back immediately. You can send them these videos as proof.

Breaking:

Paul campaign requests Nevada caucus delay based on multiple rule changes and inconsistencies in the process:

rawstory.com...

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Today, the Ron Paul 2008 campaign is calling on the Nevada State Republican Party to re-examine multiple inconsistencies in the Nevada Caucus process, and to consider postponing the caucus, which is scheduled for Saturday, January 19.

“The inconsistencies, errors and multiple changes in the rules reek of playing politics with the what should be a neutral process,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign manager Lew Moore. “The people of Nevada deserve to know exactly what the rules are and to know that those rules are being fairly enforced. This has not happened up to this point, and the caucus appears to be in chaos.”

The problem of multiple rule changes is being compounded by other inconsistencies and errors in the process. Many Nevada Republicans have received postcards with incorrect information about their caucus location, and the Nevada GOP website had incorrect caucus locations listed as late as Wednesday, January 16.

There is more at rawstory on this.

Additionally, one or more county chairs have expressed concerns over an insufficient number of ballots, and the Ron Paul campaign has heard reports that rural counties are short of ballots, while Clark County precincts were given what is regarded as far too many ballots.

This also happened in Michigan, although it was not widely reported.

The USA has become worse than a third-world banana republic when it comes to free and fair elections.

Soon Ron Paul supporters will have no choice but active and widespread civil disobedience of all sorts and kinds. More power to them.

Where is Jimmy Carter when you need him to oversee that the voting is not fraudulent in each state? Carter goes to these other countries to make sure that their voting ballots are legally cast. Jimmy where are you?

This smells to high heaven no different then a Kangaroo court in action. Is the fix in progress? Where are the checks and balances? We as Americans demand that our votes count for the canidate that we actually voted for in the primaries. Rik Riley

This was reported on local news here in the Reno area on caucus day at noon-- many caucus locations ran out of ballots. They didn't say what they did about it though. I'm suspicious that if they intentionally create confusion beforehand, it creates plausible deniability for any vote fraud going on. Ooops! Well, in all the confusion, how could we know?

Here’s a link to blackboxvoting.org that shows pictures of the ‘sealed’ NH ballot boxes showing slits cut in the top of them. It also seems that the ‘seal’s’ are easily peeled off, meaning that the ‘chain of custody’ is a joke.

Yeah, and the SOS never answered the question. That's a good video hitoca, thanks.

The video is of Bev Harris (BlackBoxVoting.org) filming, and her and her partner Susan are asking the SOS why on this one night they arbitrarily decided to change normal procedure and not secure the ballots in their vault. Instead they left them in a less secure area.

Interesting to note that they asked another guy if the vault was full, and he said no. Lol, so why in the heck would they all of a sudden not use the vault?

The blank, clueless expression on the SOS's face is priceless. Hell, I would have settled for just about anything. "Oh, no, no particular reason." Or "Oh, because we were in a hurry and this spot is much closer to the loading dock."

But nothing. I mean NOTHING. Very strange indeed.

Hacking Democracy ,I remember seeing this documentary on voting fraud in both the 2000, 2004 elections. The electronic voting booths made by Diebold could have an executable file on the memory card that could pretty much change the results anyway you would like, taking votes from one candidate and allocating them to others...the cards are then inserted in to a central counting machine and well you get the picture.
