i feel strongly that this is the summer and moment truth. Jesus used the parable of the fig tree bcause its a summer fruit. The fig tree hides its fruit under its leaves. That fruit is wisdom and its in the early stage.
The 4th of july will give us 3.5 years til 2011 which is 42 months and i think this will be over. Also this is the 7th year after 911 july will be the 7 month = 28 weeks and the 7th day for casini. I believe this is the mystery of 777. This came up a while back, and I posted a very lengthy reply. Unfortunately, the old thread is gone, and I have to head for work, so I'll have to post a short-and-sweet reply.

The Lucifer Project is a load of Bovine Scatological Ejecta!!

For one thing, the Cassini-Huygens probe isn't a nuclear device, it's a space probe powered by radioisotope thermoelectric generators. RTGs are not capable of initiating a nuclear explosion.

For another, even if (by some miracle of science) you managed to make a set of RTGs that could not only power the spacecraft for years, but then detonate as efficiently as a purpose-built nuclear device, well, to quote Montgomery Scott (Lt. Cmdr, UFPSF, ret.) "Cap'n, we need more powah!". If the Schoemaker-Levy impacts with Jupiter weren't enough to cause a stellar ignition event, there's no chance in (insert favorite name for Perdition *here*) that a device that would fit aboard Cassini could pack enough punch to set off Saturn.

For yet another, if you COULD get Saturn to 'ignite' (in the sense of a fusion reaction), the same thing that kept it from doing so in the first place (lack of sufficient mass) would cause it to simply blow apart in a colorful spray of ionized gas.

Every time I hear about this so-called "Lucifer Project", I expect to hear from Arthur Clarke's lawyers...somebody's obviously been reading 2010 while drinking bad tequila.

I've heard of the 'Lucifer Project' before, and largely overlooked it, but this time I decided to sit down and think through a logical reason to dismiss it.

At first, it seemed simple-- we've detonated very large nuclear devices on the surface and deep within the crust of the Earth without global effects.

Additionally, Saturn (like all other planets in our solar system) absorbs a tremendous number of meteorite impacts; some of these objects are very large when they approach or impact the planet, as in the case of Jupiter and Shoemaker-Levy, and no catastrophe has occurred as a result of these impacts, to date.

So it seemed fine to reason that even a sizable nuclear impact against the surface of Saturn would have a negligible effect from our perspective. But this left me unsatisfied, as I knew little about Saturn's composition.

A very brief bit of research turned up some interesting facts. Apparently, the planet is almost entirely composed of hydrogen. In addition to the iconic ochre clouds that comprise its atmosphere, the surface of Saturn is apparently (Wikipedia!) a thick layer of metallic hydrogen.

This has proven a stumbling block in my dismissal of the logic underlying theories about the Lucifer project. My question is this: is it likely that isotopes of hydrogen, such as Deuterium, exist in large quantities on Saturn, and if so, could this potentially grant its surface, or areas thereof, properties conducive to fusion?

I started off trying to logically dismiss this whole thing, and wound up asking questions I can't answer for myself. Your scientific expertise is appreciated in advance.

The Lucifer Project is quite scary and if they don't do it now what is to say they don't try it again some time.

The black spot that has been discovered on Jupiter from what I read was caused by NASA exploding the Plutonium in Galileo at the Equator. Since no one asked NASA if they caused this they haven't come forward and said a thing.

It was written in an article that Jupiter was a test run for Saturn.

The article says the Hall of Records was found under the paw of the Sphinx. The records told of how to terraform planets and Jupiter, Saturn or Neptune would be suitable.

Cassini I am hoping is not going to be shot up into the South Pole and the Plutonium after being ejected is supposed to implode when 25% up into the Pole. They say this could implode Saturn and turn it into a Sun (our second Sun as told of) and Titan then could be terraformed with the hopes of life.

The problem is if this occurred in 3/4 weeks the ejecta would come to Earth and also the Cosmic Rays. People would have to be underground for a few month until everything passed. Of course many wouldn't get underground and they plan on millions being killed.

but inasmuch as they can't even feed earth humans without devising
a way to make it profitable. these immoral idiots wish to "create" a
sun to "create" a livable earth..why??? are they so afraid of death??
what is the point? lord, if this is indeed true and judging how man has
treated man on this earth, i'd say our chances of evolving spiritually

If you read that entire article and it is long it is extremely disturbing.

All the symbology sounds just like something the Skull and Bones would be into.

I wounder is that Rio whatever it is,.....is in the right position in July?

Titan isn't like Earth, it has similarities to when Earth was extremely young, but that's it. Y'see, instead of what, it has liquid hydrocarbons, and instead of an oxygen atmosphere, it has a nitrogen and helium.It does kinda LOOK like Earth , but Mars is a much better match. It does contain water ice though, but to terraform the moon it would take a lot more effort than it would to do Mars.
Besides which, if you were to pick a planet to turn into a star, Jupiter, not Saturn should be your goal. It's size alone should be indicative of this.
Saturn is to small for a sustained reaction, if, some how, all of the above problems for the supposed secret intentions of the craft are ignored and Saturn does turn into a sun for a bit, the moons in orbit would probably be destroyed from the eruption. Stars don't suddenly light up, the give off a explosion. (Part of the reason the internal planets don't have rings.)

Saturn has nowhere near enough mass to contain itself as a star. That is assuming we even had enough nukes in the world to ignite it.

plus, don't you think if we DID by some miraculous chance, turn saturn into a star, that we wouldn't be affected by it? If we ignited Saturn into a star I think the average temperature on Earth would increase by about 500 degrees, no?

For the record, the Cassini project has been extended for 2 years.
