I've been following the election campaigns for the 2008 Presidential hopefuls - probably more so than the average American (though probably equally to those of you who actually read this). I've seen nothing worth voting for in any candidate. All I've seen is slander, ad hominem attacks, talk of religion and ethnic background, and a general try for a popularity contest. What I have still to see is a real platform of relevant current issues. Where are the candidates that want to bring the American government back into the hands of the people? Where are the candidates that want to address the severely flawed health care problems in the US? Where are the candidates that want to address the suffering education of our children? Where are the candidates that want to end this senseless war and bring our troops back home? Where are the candidates that want to restore this country to the free nation it once was? Sure, there are candidates that touch on these issues, seemingly only to placate the people asking these questions. I still haven't seen a candidate willing to build a platform on addressing any real issues - they're all slander campaigns.

All I see in these candidates are war mongers, willing to carry on the Bush plans. They don't care about the general public. They don't care about educating the children. They don't care about the constant loss of freedoms in the US.

As an American who loves his country, I cannot, as an American, bring myself to vote for a single one of the candidates running in 2008.

Stop trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Any half-intelligent American knows that there's no difference between the Democrats and Republicans. They're both the same at this point. Extremism is death in either case. Democracy in this country is a farce. The good leaders get buried. Our tax dollars pay for bombs designated for sovereign nations that have oil.

Politicians refuse to listen to the people. If they did, we never would have bombed Iraq in the first place. If they did, we'd already have clean fuels (Yeah, Nixon was all about alternative fuels in the late 1960s and Early 1970s) and education for our children. If they did, not one single American would be in need of health care.

This is a nation of the government against the people, not a government for the people.

Our founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they knew what this nation has become.

I will ONLY vote for a candidate whose primary platform is to repeal the Patriot Act and disband Homeland Security/TSA. I will only vote for a candidate whose platform is to bring the government back into the hands of the people. I will only vote for a candidate who promises to correct the flaws in the voting system that allows the votes to be rigged. I will only vote for a real American.

As of right now, I, as a patriotic American, cannot, in good faith, vote for *any* of the candidates running in 2008.
