I'm curious, I have heard the commercials and was thinking about picking one up for spanish. I would like to know if it has worked for anyone yet though

I just started using it for German, and I am surprised that without realizing it at first I was indeed learning German. At this point I am very satisfied with how it worked out.

I also use Spanish as simply a refresher, and it does the trick for that as well.

i have the japanese version. i already knew some basics, but it was nice to have a different way of learning some things. i think it does a pretty good job. instead of making you memorize word to word associations, it makes you figure out what words and phrases mean by showing you pictures.

It's a good software, but I think it's meant to be used as a complementary tool. I used a little the German version and I now know how to say a few things but this language has so many rules that Rosetta doesn't explain that I don't think you can use only this to learn a language.

Although, again, I agree that this is a great software. The best way to learn a language is to read text written in it. For example, I never studied English in my life, but using English games and software since I was a kid I could eventually learn it. Not to a great level, of course, but at least to an acceptable one that will let you understand this very post
.
