Chad warplanes have bombed two villages in Sudan's Darfur province, leaving six people dead, according to the UN.
The raids took place on Sunday near the West Darfur capital, Geneina - the second such strikes reported in a week.
The air strikes were reported a day after Chad's President Idris Deby said that he would send troops to destroy rebel Chadian bases in Darfur.
Sudan and Chad accuse each other of backing rebel groups, destabilising the region around their common border.
