Cool, quirky but essentially meaningless coincidences?

Just wondering if anyone else ever experiences these kind of things...

I am staying with family out in the countryside in Northern France at the moment. Pitch black nights, no streetlight within probably 40 miles. The room I am in has a wall to ceiling window overlooking an amazing valley, with crystal clear views of the stars through the window at night.

Last night, 4.30am, I woke with a bit of a jolt, opened my eyes and looked out of the window to see the nicest shooting/falling star I have ever seen streak across the sky at that exact moment!

Must have been a 1 in, well, if not a million, pretty huge odds!

Quirky, odd, meaningless, but kinda cool

Here is a good one:

Earth's moon, seen at it's distance from the earth, is almost exactly the same size in the sky as the Sun, as seen from the Earth. If this strange size/distance coincidence (assuming it IS a coincidence) did not occur, then we would not have these very cool total solar eclipses that we do.

I actually find it kind of spooky. What are the odds, do ya suppose?

And the ever popular; you are thinking of someone and they call on the phone.
