Oh cool, i so hope I win the t-shirt.
The 5th of November has always been a strange date.
It's supposed to be about the thwarted attempt of Guy Fawkes to blow up the houses of parliament, to which we burn the effigy of Guy Fawkes on a
bonfire, yet we also use fireworks that explode to celebrate as well.
Seems kinda twisted to me. How can you celebrate the failure of something with the exact theoretical method that would have been used to do the
It's almost like the 5th of November is celebrated by two groups. Those who glorify Guys defeat and those who wish he succeeded.
The defeatists are those who burn him on the fire, and the 'well wishers' use fireworks.
The irony is that both groups now do nothing more than help to pay more taxes to the government and to help the government continue doing that which
Mr. Fawkes tried to stop.
So, without further interuprion, this is now an official one more post towards March the 13th ...and my new T-shirt
