Wow, I can imagine they must have been horribly painful -- how many colors of shading went on there? at least three? Whew!

I don't know how you endured it. Right over the knee cap would be nauseating. I can still remember getting my wrist done and when the guy was working over the knobs on the sides it just felt terrible. Painless tats are always in soft fleshy places. Maybe this is why sailors get screws inked over their buttocks.

I have virgin skin. No tats whatsoever.

Never thought to 'inscribe' even under a drunk. Nope.

I'm slowly understanding certain indivuals 'needs' to tat da skin. And until I go through something myself, I have an 'outsiders' opinion, and just that.

I remember this one comedian - was it 'Robin Williams'? dunno. He said mentioned something about a girl in their 20's getting a butterfly on her breast. Then when the girl is 60 70 or 80 years old, that same butterfly would be PRETTY SPREAD OUT. Would look like a great Eagle or Condor, with its wings spread out!

Gravity. lololol

OMG on your knees!!!????

That would be so painful!!!!!!!

well, my friend had a butterfly done on the top of her foot. It was really beautiful until she went out and some drunken woman wearing stillehtos stood on the top of her foot. OMG Now that was painful AND when it healed she went and had it touched up to fill the gap from the hole!!

oh my eyes popped out of my head when I saw your knees!

I was planning to go to sleep soon as it is 1 am but ... wide awake now!!!

I got two on my head, one on my right arm and one on left thigh.

quite enjoy them to be honest. Really take my time in being sure of what i want and where they're going though.

not something anyone should rush into.

Very cool, and yow that has to have hurt! /respect

I have 3 tattoos myself, couple on my arms, and my back. I go for solid one colour designs, no multiple shading, all hidden out of sight due to my field of work. I have to say they weren't too bad pain wise apart from the 1st, but I picked places that were meant not to hurt that much...

Grats again, and I think you just got me all inspired for my 4th I've planning for a while now! lol
