Are Jay-Z, Nas and Kanye Illuminati's?

Whether or not Kanye is involved is up in the air in my opinion. This is the first that i've heard of this notion that these rappers are part of the Illuminati.
I will say that in my opinion Nas has always tried to drive home the notion of being black royalty an that all black people at one time or another were Ku#e and so on. He has alwys put the African foot forward in his lyrics and album covers. One of those covers shows him as a Pharo.

Wu-Tang Clan has almost always made referance to a Masonic background (not to say that Masons are Illuminati orany thing just an example) For instance on their album Wu Chronicales track 10 "Wake the F*$k up" they all make Masonic referance and even say "I roll with my skull and bones, made of solid gold." And at the end of the 15th track "The End" there are lyrics warning, "The end justifies the means, the end is power, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." (we have all heard this before) but after the end of the song tey break intoan interveiw with Jordan Maxwell about the Illuminati and the real meaning of the Statue of Liberty.

Tupac has made many referances to the Illuminati and how they are out to get him. Also how they run the country. He is widely thought to be speaking about "White" establishment while it may be true that it is mainly white at the top if you realy pay attention to the lyrics he's speaking about the Illuminati. In his song "They don't give a F*&k about us" he clearly says, "Some say they expect the Illuminati to take my body to sleep," "Before I flee computer chips," "I'm watchin ni%$@s work their lives off without pay," he also spoke of himself as killuminati ie. kill illuminati. So it would seem as though he was aware of it and strived to bring it into the light that we would also be aware and combat it. Oddly enough the first attempt on his life happened in New York and was at the hands of people that ran in the same circles as Nas and Jay-Z. He never said that it was either of them but in his lyrics about his rivalry he made it clear which rappers did it.
And in the end he met a gruesome end in a very contriversial way. I often wondered how it was that Shug Knight didn't get hit. Not to mention that some say there was bad blood brewing between them.

Iwould say the Illuminati (or by what ever name you choose to call it) has it's hands in every area that they can assert influence or control over us and the music industry is far from exempt. In fact outside of TV it is the best way to do so. Every body has an artist or type of music that they listen to.

This thing will not let me edit. What I meant to say was "Kush" or Nubian.
For some reason this site is not letting me put that up.

I have to agree 100% with newworldover, when a person in the music industry/media is making huge amounts of money...they become easy pickings for the illuminati...they will tell them what to say, what clothes to wear, and even what sign gestures to make....i seen jay z give david letterman the masonic handshake after performing on his show..im not lying.

Im glad dave had the guts to run from these people...he went to the motherland and chilled out...got back to his roots, all that weed he smokes migh have helped alil to.

jay Z might not be a running the illuminati..but he is running alot of other big buisness...and we all know the ill control all big buisness...so in a sense they would be controlling jay z..even oprah and all them daytime television clones...

think of it like this...your a drug dealer who is making lots of money in a neighborhood your not even from....the head drug dealers from that hood find out...they come to you personally..or have some of the hench men do it for them...they say.either you stop selling drugs on my turf...or you join us and help make us money...and if he doesnt except..well blam a bullet to the head....get the point>

jayz is making to much money..and the ill* want a piece of it..and he chose to join them rather then end up like tupac or biggy did.

That video is just dumb....it takes a bunch of random crap and throws it together (very poorly, at that) to try and make some kinda point.

The symbol that Kanye and Jay-Z throw up all the time is the symbol for their record label, Roc-a-fella, also known as the dynasty. They throw up a diamond, because as the saying goes, "Diamonds are Forever.....therefore the dynasty is forever.

Someone mentioned the 5 Percenter's....that IMO, is where you need to look. It is an off-shoot of Islam, and some some pretty radical views....along the lines of people being enlightened. They even have their own form of numerology, called Supreme Mathematics, and their own alphabet called, you guessed it Supreme Alphabet. Example RZA and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan often refer to themselves as Ruler Zig Zag Zig Allah and God Zig Zag Zig Allah...

Some of the more well known rappers are involved in this, including: Nas, Busta Rhymes, pretty much all of the Wu Tang Clan, Rakim (considered by many as the greatest of all time), the members of Gang Starr and many others. Also many of them are from New York City. They call each other "God", because they believe that they are God, or something to that effect. I used to hang out with some guys who believed this stuff....some of its pretty out there...

How was my comment off topic? Everyone is insinuating that because Jay Zee made some references to the occult that he is somehow a member of the "illuminatti." That is not empirically true unless you want to entertain Alex Jones' theory that there is some kind of an "occult conspiracy," which nothing could be further from the truth.

When you take a look at the world's power structure, you'll see where the real conspiracy lies... What I said is very relevant to this topic. The "illuminatti" of today are not the mystics and occultists of old, as many would have you believe

I wouldn't be the least bit shocked to find that some of them were in a secret society. Most societies are interested in men in higher places that have a nice supply of money. Sounds about right if you ask me...

Well, duuUUUuuh. MOST people, companies, groups and just about everyone else on the freakin' planet wants to be associated with successful people. That you choose to insinuated that only a (hee hee hee!) secret society would find these traits attractive indicates to me that you need to take a social studies class or two.

The only people who want to be associated with losers are the winners when you're comparing scores after the game.

Your pal,

Are they "Illuminatis?" Maybe, maybe not. They are probably very interested in these topics as we here are. They cannot make an album explicitly about their interests without pushing away a large fan base however. Many artists are "into" many strange things which are usually revealed later, on a tv interview or in Rolling Stone. Bowie a Gnostic, Madonna and Qabala, Led Zepplin and Crowley, and so on. If the artists weren't so eccentric their art would probably suffer. The symbols are everywhere, but are they there to look pretty? Probably not, or else they could make their own prettier ones. Are the symbols there to get us to do our homework? Sometimes. I first learned about the Witches Hammer by randomly googling a song title on an AFI album (Malleus Maleficarum), so when it was briefly brought up in the Da Vinci Code I already knew about it. Disney has Club 33, and there's even a childrens movie called Hoodwinked! (with a hidden compass+square in one scene)

Anyways, many people have mentioned actual brotherhoods/occult groups which do weild considerable control in the entertainment industry, above and beyond the typical backscratching and repaying of favors of the uber rich, which constitutes a not-so-occult 'brotherhood.' Its rumored that Dave Chappel was approached by such a group (of Black entertainers only) and refused to join, then ran to Africa for apparently no reason (or a pretty lame reason - too much money!). In a book about Pink Floyd it is apparently mentioned that the band resisted influence by a Dionysian cult. The cults of Dionysus and Isis being mentioned the most when it comes to the entertainment industry. And should it be a wonder why? Jim Morrison was very Dionysian figure whose father was an admiral in the Navy. Jim also had a wiccan wedding. (at least acording to my Doors movie..) The 60's are especially important when thinking about 'influence' in music.

Aldoux Huxleys Doors of Perception was a major influence on the Doors and Terrance McKenna, Timothy Leary, and basically the rest of the 60's youth. (Especially centered in Southern California, ground zero for American entertainment.)

Aldous Huxley, the grandson of Thomas H. Huxley, a founder of the Rhodes Roundtable group and a lifelong collaborator of Arnold Toynbee. Toynbee's "theory" of history was that its determining culture has always been the rise and decline of grand imperial dynasties. Toynbee argued that this decline could be abated if the ruling oligarchy (like that of the British Roundtable) would devote itself to the recruitment and training of an ever-expanding priesthood dedicated to the principles of imperial rule.

Trained at Toynbee's Oxford, Aldous Huxley was one of the initiates in the "Children of the Sun," a Dionysian cult comprised of the children of Britain's Roundtable elite. Among the other initiates were T.S. Eliot, W.H. Auden, Sir Oswald Mosley, and D.H. Lawrence, Huxley's homosexual lover.

Aldous Huxley was tutored at Oxford by H.G. Wells, the head of British foreign intelligence during World War I... Under Wells's tutelage, Huxley was first introduced to Aleister Crowley. Crowley was a product of the cultist circle that developed in Britain from the 1860s under the guiding influence of Edward Bulwer-Lytton. In 1886, Crowley, William Butler Yeats, and several other Bulwer-Lytton proteges formed the Isis-Urania Temple of Hermetic Students of the Golden Dawn. This Isis Cult was organized around the 1877 manuscript Isis Unveiled by Madame Helena Blavatsky, in which the Russian occultist called for the British aristocracy to organize itself into an Isis priesthood. Huxley founded a nest of Isis cults in southern California and in San Francisco, that consisted exclusively of several hundred deranged worshipers of Isis and other cult gods...

From Huxleys influence, and Tim Learys CIA LSD, "Orange Sunshine," the influence of The Haight spread into the music and culture. If you want a theme-song for the New World Order, look no further and John Lennons Imagine.
...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
...
(more like Minipax...)

If someone looks into the lyrics of Jay-Z, Nas, et al, it might become clear where they stand.
If you look hard enough you will find many Freemasons or other groups in places of influence (I mean if you had a secret society - who would you recruit??). "Every man and woman is a star." And which (teen-)Idols do we worship? Movie & Music Stars. What better level of influence is there? Holly-Wood and MTv. (link is a .pdf file)

Who started the trend of rolling up one pant leg? A rapper (whose name I forget). I have already mentioned (in another thread) that the spade ("diamond") is a symbol for the babylonian god Marduk. Babylonian god-king Nimrod had a dream where he lost an eye, similar to Horus/Odin/etc); Nimrod was the son of Cush/Hermes. The left eye is especially important as a symbol for the Moon (and Hermes/Thoth (who found Horus's missing left eye)). (The rapper Houston was disillusioned with the evils of the music industry and cut out his own left eye.) The temple on the top of the tower of babel was dedicated to Nanna (meaning Illuminator), the moon god. And on the top of the pyramid on the dollar bill is a left-eye. Famously seen in other images, the left eye is shown through the triangle-spade by Jay-Z (I guess?), and other artists. Hermes/Thoth is recognized as the New Age Christ, as claimed by H.P. Blavatsky. I think this is important because Saint Malachy predicted that we are on the last pope, who is to be followed by something called "Peter Roma." And "Ptr-Roma" is the name the Egyptians had for the deified Hermes.
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. (Speaking of which, isn't the evil end-time figure of the Q'uran a one-eyed person?)

Are they giving us hints? Are they using the symbols they are familiar with, due to their association with occult groups? Probably both. It's no stretch to imagine that they would insert heavy symbolism into their art work, as it is a long tradition with artists. The cults of power in the entertainment industry probaby work more like unions, rather than like the "illuminati" we are imagining. Although, the entertainment industry is the first place to go when you want to subliminally send a message to millions of people.

The video embedding isnt working for me, so here's the video links I would have embedded here:

Mega-Artist" become "Mega" when the power elite can use them to sway the masses. Meaning simply: The power elite have use for "Mega-Artists" be it for the monetary value or for a way to attain even more power. Both are synonymous.

imo that's exactly how they want us to percieve it and honestly it is how most of us percieve it, but what you describe doesn't answer why these people "chose" to use such symbology knowing what the connections are.

Found this thread after viewing another. I wasn't aware of the theories regarding these hip-hop artists, but I don't pay much attention to their music. It certainly is an interesting topic.

Kanye recently performed at the Grammys. There was a giant pyramid displayed on the stage during his performance of the song "Stronger". I thought it was odd at the time..probably due to my frequent visits on ATS. But I find it stranger after viewing this thread.

I don't know about Kanye or Nas but Jay-Z uses a lot of illuminati symbolism.

I just found out that Jay-z dropped his album "Blueprint" on 9/11!! Very suspect.
