Two short but very interesting texts:

I do have a quibble, though (or is it?) - a strictly personal one:
Macdonald-Bayne says: "You do not pray when you are joyous, when you have no problems. You pray only when you are in conflict, when you have
difficulty you cannot solve."
Well... no. I actually DO pray when I am joyous - in fact, it's when I am joyous that I pray
the most (and with most gusto).
And since it is true in my case, it's safe to assume that it's true for many other people, too.
But don't let that divert you from the texts. They are quite good.
