I am a smoker and have always wondered that if it is all of the extra ingredience that companies put into them that are the harmful ones, then why do it? Is it merely to make them more habit forming or is there another reason? Any theories?

It's the PROCESS! The most popular brand in the world is also the most jacked up: Marlboro. Plants aren't consistent is the main thing. For uniformity of product, you make it from scratch, or remake it.

If it bothers you smoke Winstons. They're so natural they fall apart. No two exactly alike either.

WEll sulphur keeps the ciggies burnin' while ya not smokin' em'.

I dont know why the rat poison is in there though or the other 3000+chemicals.

Niccotine is to keep u addicted.
Bleach for the paper surrounding the tabacco.
Ink for what's printed on it.

That's all i know.

I used to do marketing for a top tobacco manufacturer (not #1), and have to tell you the poison in the product pales in comparison to the poison in the marketing.

People know the product is full of crap; but chose to smoke anyway. Would they if they knew how they were categorized, misled, manipulated and marketed to? Probably. After all, tobacco targets the stupid.

No offense. I'm stupid. I smoke now.

I think that the purpose of those chemicals is to deposit them in your body rather than in a landfill frankly.

Why the azzwhipes do it is beyond me, well no I do know why.

It's called population control and how do we reduce our old age pension payouts and...

Same reason I don't stop drinking, fast/junk food or driving. I see them as acceptible risks in order to live a life that I am happy in.

That's where your problem is. You think that you have to smoke, drink, eat fast/junk food in order to live an happy life. I don't drink, don't smoke ( anymore
) and don't eat fast food. And I've an happy life.

Also, destroying my life doesn't make me happy.

i don't smoke, but my sister does (she stinks because of it) my mum used to when i was little, then she quit because she got pnumonia, then 8 years later she took it up again but now she quit again.

myself and my dad do not smoke, but we do drink (occaisionally and in moderation). whats the difference between smoking (chemicals) and drinking (too much is bad for the liver) there is some freaking potent alcohol out there (moonshine anyone lol).

Thanks so much for informing me that I have a problem. I do these things because I enjoy them. If you are not going to enjoy life then what is the point of bothering at all? If what you do works for you then more power to you and if what I do works for me then the same.

We are all going to die pointless deaths; that's the way that life goes. The important thing is enjoying the time that we have left. The value of life is not measured in time, but instead in the quality of it.
