Bush supports interrogation tape investigation

www.channel4.com

President Bush has said he strongly supports an investigation into the destruction of CIA tapes showing the interrogation of terrorism suspects.

He revealed the White House would co-operate with the Justice Department probe.

He said: "I strongly support it and we will participate."

The Justice Department has announced plans to launch a criminal investigation into the CIA's destruction of the tapes.

So the CIA is ordered to destroy tapes, supposedly showing torture tactics approved by Mr Bush and his cronies, and now Bush wants to support an investigation?

Now, Seeing as there is no evidence left, Bush can get away with pushing investigation into something he may (probably) have had a hand in? I Guess he'll look like a good guy, and devoid of any guilt. Pfft.

Nothing but lip service.
He knows the investigation will never reveal anything,
and he can pretend to be as critical as he pleases.. ultimately, he has lost control over Cheney and his office ( Thats if he was even remoteley interested in investigating it ) which he isnt.

No, he had to come out and say this, so the record shows
'' 1 Mr GW Bush took the nessecary actions against an unlawful destrouction of evidence ''

It doesnt matter that behind closed doors he's talking with, and manipulating the investigation though does it.

what a load of bs.
