Okay well first I am a pretty healthy person with no mental problems. This happened about six months ago and has never reoccured.

One day at I woke up at 5am I heard voices and they REALLY scared me I screamed/shouted several times. I then had the urge to go down the hallway and into the kitchen. It turns out my dad was in there preparing to go to work. But everything was really weird it looked like his movements were as normal but everything he did was speed up about 3x the same goes for my cat which was eating from its food bowl, it looked like it was wolfing it down. The clock ticked faster and all the sounds were a#ated. When I spoke I sounded normal to me but my dad spoke fast. I took some tablets (can't remember name but they were over the counter drugs that are stored in our pantry) then went to bed.

I am interested in this not only because I am unsure why it happened and why I had the urge to go to the kitchen because it would generally be the worst place because its a large open area (kitchen/dining/living room). Also any experiances with the passage of time appearing out of the ordinary? Anyone have theroies on why/how this happened?

Didn't your dad hear you shouting?

Thats the really strange thing he didn't and neither did my sister. The only thing i can think of to explain this is that I was only semi-concious and in a dream like state but not in the REM dream stage therefore I may have "dreamt" myself screaming. However I know 100% that I was awake in the kitchen because my dad confirms it.

You could have been in REM sleep and sleepwalking...I have an uncle that does that and man he is convincing when asleep...sometimes people think that he is awake when not, even though he is walking around...he talks and everything...I think that his eyes are even open sometimes

Aren't on any narcotics or hallucinogens are you?

Your brain may have just been perceiving time differently...that or you have an ability of some sort.

I may have been in REM but I can remember it all and so does my dad so it was definatley real. Does your Uncle talk to you or is it just talking in his sleep?

Not on any drugs what so ever legal or illegal

Is there such an ability? I've never done it before or again.
Anyone else have an experiance like this?

can you remember what you were doing the night before? if you were out socialising in a public place its possible your drink or something could have been spiked with some sort of drug, especially if your dad said you looked freaked out. Can you remember any sort of situation which could have caused you to consume something you may or may not have been aware you were consuming, or else you were unaware of its chemical properties?

Yes, he actually talks...it's really crazy!

They can ask him a question and he'll answer...he even complains if they flip on the lights.

Umm I believe (it was quite a while ago) that I was working the night before. I work at a fruit and veg shop, I can't really remember but i doubt I consumed anything there. We share glasses for drinking but I always rinse them before use. Thats about it.
Sorry I can't really give any decent info I was really hoping someone else might have had this.

Joe that is really crazy if you read this again does he have a memory of what happened?

I have to leave in a couple of minutes but I have heard a theory of certain people being borne in the last 25 years or so that will start automatically traveling through time. It is linked to the Plaedian theory that we are starting to get more of our DNA strands back. We only have 2 strands but we used to have 12 strands.

Bringers Of The Dawn a book by Barbara Marciniak (I think I spelled it right?) explains it. Sorry I would write more but I got to go.

Hmmm sounds quite interesting though I don't think thats me. I might look into it for intrests sake when my internet starts doing what I want it to. Not sure what I think about the theroy seems strange for something to evolve (I'm atheist) with the ability to move through time don't you think?

Hi joesomebody,

My son used to do that when he was younger (between 6-10yrs old), then it stopped.

He would walk into the sittingroom ... eyes open ... looking normal but moving a little slower than usual (I wonder if this is why the OP felt things were moving faster ... just a thought).

And he would respond and answer when you spoke to him as if he was wide awake ... but he was definately asleep. Only difference to OP's account is that my son was unaware of his actions in the morning.

Hmmm this is a possibilty a couple questions though.
1. Did your son remember it?
2. Could he drink water (may not have tried)?
3.And could he sit down? I did for a while when it was overwhelming.

Hi MK,

No ... he didn't remember it (or at least said he didn't ... may just have been embarassed I suppose, he was only young).

Yes ... he could drink ... sit etc. In fact do anything he could normally do just at a strangly slow pace. And could hold a conversation/answer questions ... again speech was slow.

Hope this helps. Woody.

[edit] Also he didn't blink ... had a sort of far away look.

Thanks I can't really remember blinking (was a long time ago) but I imagine that may have been because I was somewhat staring at the strange going ons.

Well, this sounds similiar to something that happens to me quite often. It feels like everything is happening really fast, but it isn't, and you feel really lively and perhaps confused. Probably not a very good description but it's sort of what it feels like when it happens to me. Oh and maybe you might feel really zoned out as if you're not really there but you know you are?

Does this sound right?

This does describe it I felt like I was just watching like I was in total control. When does this happen to you? As in is it when you eat a certain food, don't get enough sleep, etc.

Uhm well, pretty sure it just happens randomly, and goes away after like 5 minutes or less. Don't think it's anything to worry about though, I just wait for it to end.
