I'm glad, but it sucks they are not planning on selling them individually. I'd rather not see the gratuitous Ewok Celebration at the end of ROTJ....if you know what I mean.
Do they mention if they will be the "SE" versions of the film? I wasn't too fond of them. I'm a die-hard original fan, myself. I was there opening night in '77 at the drive-in theater in my parents hippy van. Far Out man!! Keep on truckin'!!

EDIT: Ok, sorry I forgot to RTFA thoroughly. They are the original classic versions.

I really wonder, but doubt, that they will have any cut footage. I would love to see how cheesy the cut scene is where dozens of Wampas (big foots) are attacking the Hoth base.

Excellant, great news! I first heard that we'd have to wait until 2005 after Episode 3 came out. In the article itsays never-before-seen footage will be included on a 4th bonus disc like the Indiana Jones DVD set.

Even better its a few weeks before my birth day .

As of right now it is the "SE" versions that will be coming out but that doens't mean it will end up that way. After all, they haven't even released it to the stores yet. I would visit www.starwars.com... to get some definitive proof.

I think because LucasArts kept getting hords of emails asking when they were coming out on DVD and they just gave up and let the fans have what they wanted.

It's just the original Trilogy, not the Prequels...

Star Wars: A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

Personally, I'm pre-ordering mine....
