Yes that's right. It is completly ridiculous here in Germany when it comes to tolerance.

As a result of the WW2 the Allied worked together for a constitution being totally respectful to opinions and religions. More than in every other country in the world.

So and what the mumu is it now? We even hesitate to ban stuff from schools which are forbidden in countries where they originate from, are contrary to what woman fought for since several decades and are just missplaced in schools as we seperated state and religion.
We even have problems fighting right-wings, illegal immigrants, criminals, religious extremists, lazy people etc just because most actions would be against our constitution.

About the "Kirchensteuer". People in Germany and from other countries basically think it's a tax to make the church afford their churches and pay the priest but that's wrong for most communities in Germany.
The church is covering a broad range of social institutions like kndergarten, healt-care, education, almshouses etc.
So please don't spread the general wrong opinion it is mostly for paying the priests or other people there. It is still mostly a very humitarian tax.
And most important: You dont need to pay it!
