Wow!! That is not good.
I really hope everyone is OK. That hospital is a good place for cancer patients and to have that happen is terrible. Another thumbs up
for the firemen who are tackeling the blaze. I'm also glad to see the the doctors didn't quit the surgeries and leave in a panic. My heart goes out to everyone there.

This truely sucks
hopefully the equipment has been saved aswell since this will be a large impact on those that are under treatment, this fire will also put strain on other care centers,

has anyone known the cause of this fire?

I am glad to hear that all the patients and staff got out safely. That was very brave of the surgeons to stay until the patients in surgery could be evacuated also. Hopefully the trauma of this situation doesn't lead to added complications or deaths amongst the patients. They already have enough stress in life battling cancer. I know what that battle can do to a person, both suffering from the terrible disease and their loved ones around them and such a traumatic incident wouldn't be good for their state of mind..

What unit of the hospital was contained on the top floor? Were the OR's located there?

Good, Im pleased to hear that everyone got out safely.

According to This site The fire started in the "plant room" where the air conditioning system is.

If all lifes are saved and no one was seriously hurt, then that is good news. The hospital will be rebuilt or remodeled by people who care and will donate to the cause. Thankfully we have heroe's who will go out of their way to help when needed. Surgeons, Firefighters, EMT's and regular people who lended a helping hand. I have faith that the cummunity and abroad will help that hospital rebuild. That's why I love people and their caring ways.
