I started another thread about all the earthquakes. I didn't know about this one. Is there a above average number of quakes in the past 2-3 weeks?
I have never paid much attention to them as they generaly do not happen where I live.

You can check this site macgyver. The different circle colors indicate either today, yesterday, two weeks ago or the past 5 years. It's a little
slower at posting the quakes tho.

You can see it on the seismic traces, looks quite interesting, that isn't near the (major) fault lines or volcanoes.
Seismic trace, from Mount Rainier in Washington.
Trace
from nearby
Hmm, 842 quakes in the USA in the last week, thats quite high.

Thanks Hellmutt for finding those maps.

6.3 being reported near Wells, Nevada.

We didn't even feel the quake here worldwatcher. We're higher up and on rocky terrain. I Don't know if anyone felt it in the valley yet. I was up
at the time and not one picture was lopsided. I heard some did feel it in southern California according to our news. The last quake in this area was
only felt in the valley below. Baja, California has been shake, rattle and rolling for a few days now.

this one in Nevada which is being on over two days:
22 nd and 21 st February
and the biggest among these happened yesterday :
MAP 6.0 2008/02/21 14:16:05 41.077 -114.752 9.0 NEVADA

The location is pretty much the same, but over the 2 days there have been 22 earthquakes... that's kind of a lot
but what i find strange is the square square grid over that area.. any ideas ?
goo
gle image
27 earthquakes now with the latest:

I don't like this at all. Too many quakes near Toba. A 7.5 a few days ago. Now a 7.1 further south.

I'm wondering about the possibility of another major fault line movement like the last one, let alone Toba. Not to mention that there's dozens of
other volcanoes along there, and we have no idea what a VEI 8 volcano looks like before it's first VEI 8.
