What political reason would that be? The Bush Administration and many neo cons are 911 / Terrorism Whores when it comes to vote pandering. 911 is thier go to event for fear mongering and justification. What better way to stir up the base and put the fear of Al Queda into the undecideds?

Comeon they have been doing it for years, and given all the bad news seem desperate for anything that they can spin to thier ends

Bigots hate everyone of a particular group. Since Savage only hates a select few of a particular group, he is NOT a bigot. Using your faulty logic, anyone who does not like everybody is a bigot.
Just because someone may not like a select few from a group of people, that does NOT make one a bigot. The terms bigot and racist get thrown around so often and inappropriately, that the words practically mean nothing anymore.

He doesn't hate homos,muslems or any of those others you mentioned! He does hate radical islamo fascists. He doesn't like How the left trys to prevert the youths (hollywood and others) into their unhealthy and imoral lifesyle. he most certainly doesn't like the liberal ideaology, if you can call it an ideaology. It's more of a twisted religion. these are all falsehoods used by the left to discredit him and anyone else who disagrees with liberalism, socialism, communism radical religious doctrine. It seems you (the one from the party of tolerance) are dismayed there are supporters of a conservative agenda. Secondly you seem dismayed or even upset there are "undecideds" out there.

I certainly agree the "scare tactics" are quite frankly insulting to many. If I were a betting man (may be against the T&C) I'd say you're probably of the Dems mindset while parading yourself as an Independent.

In regards to our impartial moderator, I have a question for the rest of you; Aren't our moderators on ATS supposed to make sure things run smoothly here and keep their personal opinions out of it? I happen to agree with a couple of things he has stated (BushCo. are pimps an' Ho's,etc...) but what about the person who disagrees with me (and him)? You're telling me someone who supports the other side of the issue will get a fair shake when the person supposedly here to "keep it fair" is blatantly picking sides? Just doesn't seem right to me.

I think both sides here are being blinded to the real dilemma by your personal prejudices. The true issue is "Freedom of Speech".

CAIR wants to control Savages speech and Savage does not want it controlled. That is what led to this. No matter which side you agree with if you take the side that Savage should be shut up YOU are opposed to "Free Speech". It's really simple.

CAIR should start its own Show if it can garner an audience. That would be the correct way to fight Savage. Trying to control speech through the courts goes against everything that is right about America.

Even if you side with CAIR you should hope Savage wins if you want places like ATS to be here in the future. If CAIR wins we ALL LOOSE.

Savage is a provocateur. He says really bad things so legislators can use him as an example to pass speech legislation. A similar character was Howard Stern, who came on the scene and was just so foul that he got peoples attention and made legislators salivate.

Its a racket they do this with everything, provoke reactions. The best vaccination against this sort of guy though is no laws ever should restrict any form of free speech. Then we can all ridicule Savage and call him scum and we are allowed too.

I'm no supporter, per se, of Savage. I think I've heard maybe an hour or two total of his radio show over the years. But he calls 'em like he sees 'em. He is an American who just doesn't want to be blown up. Who can blame him for pointing out what's WRONG with society?

But your views of him being some kind of tool of Israel is childish, and even stranger to believe than an atmosphere on the moon.
