If that is the case, then us humans have a mighty long time to wait for communications from above. It all comes down to "saving ourselves" or "being saved".

I for one would have to vote for the first choice. Every day, I meditate and mentally demolish the problems and egoic situations in every day life to try and get myself closer to peace within.

I believe as long as I do this, I am doing my part to maintain serenity within my personal "space". And also, I try to be kind and smile to anyone that crosses my path. In doing this I feel that at least I am "trying" to do my part to spread kindness and peace within to others around me.

I know even without me being here, i.e. earth, that peace may not reign supreme, but while I am present, I remain vigilant to the cause, even if it does take only one person at a time to bring us closer to that day.
