hey everyone, i've been visiting this site for a while but just decided to join.

for my entire life, as long as my mom and i can remember, i've had this strange skin anomaly next to my ear... nobody knows what it is.

there's two actually. one is like a straight line, the other a large dot.

i've heard about abductees having scars left on their bodies, especially on their heads if something was implanted in them... what do you, as experts on the subject, think about this?

How does it feel?

It looks kind of like a infection of sort.

kind of bumpy. it doesn't hurt.

i don't know, an infection wouldn't last 20 years and would probably change shape or colour or something...

love your avatar by the way

Yes your probably right, but infections can stay for many many years if it doesnt have treatment, but maybe your right it would have changed shape.

Hi there!

I'll first preface this by saying that I doubt anyone is an 'expert' in the field of scars caused by unexplained means... there are just too many variables, and so little concrete casework/evidence to go by. I doubt anyone in the world can be an expert in a field that does not officially exist...

However, when you say 'unexplained', do you mean by the medical profession? or just by yourself and your family?

If you have not had it examined by a doctor or medically trained person, and you want answers, they should be your first step.

I'd also say that the following would be a good idea:

Photographs of the area/scar.
Record details of when you first noticed it, or when it first appeared. (do you have any pictures of the area when you were young to see if it appears there - a long shot I know)
Detail any changes, pain in the area etc.

However all in all, it will always be 'unexplained' until you get it examined further by professionals...

I will always say though, eliminate the obvious first, the not so obvious second, the strange 3rd, and then the very strange... Only when *every* other natural alternative has been exhausted, should you look for more, shall we say 'bizarre/unexplainable' answers...

Peace, and good luck,

FF

Odd, if you didn't say its been there for 20 years I would say it kind of looks like a splotch of poison ivy. If it has been there ever since you or your mom can remember it probably just some kind of scarring from an accident you had as a little kid. Kids are always busting their heads on something, if I ever shaved my head bald I'd probably have numerous scars from accidents that I can't remember happening.

maaan, you should wash sometimes, you know, hygiene is not so hard.

Just kidding. Doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary, though. Visit a dermal specialist, he can do a diagnosis and suggest a treatment or a simple cosmetic operation.
