Warnings about contractors went unheeded

The Defense Department has paid $2.7 billion for private security in Iraq since 2003, according to a watchdog group. Rules and regulations for contractors have often come from the Private Security Company Association of Iraq, a trade group funded by the security companies.

As far as using private security in Iraq, expensive and unbided contracts, I find that it's a shame that Americans are gathering in masses to protest.

They basically don't care that their money is being drained down the toilet.

It's really disgusting, more disgusting than blackwater themselves.
