News on TV

the weather section of any newscast is always so long and they always go "back to get a check on the weather" every five minutes. Damn it, just gimme the weekly forecast and then shut up. I dont need to hear about "A high pressure range thats going to curve to the south and begin a trend of blah blah blah AAAHHHH JUST GO AWAY YOU BLUBBERING PIECE OF HELL. I want news I dont care about you. If there is a hurricane about to end my life then fine, you get your 5 minutes of fame but dont waste my time trying to pretend your job is more important than it really is. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE BROMETER!!

I agree. My news stations are just like that, except they do a "Geographic Check". They go county by county telling the weather for each one. It takes a good 10 minutes just for that.

Its all part of the dumbing down of America.

Yeah, and why do they give you the temperatures for other cities?
I'm gonna make sure I watch the weather report so I can call my friend in Utah and say "How's the weather? No wait, I'm kidding, I know it's 68F and partially cloudy!" WTF

Is this really what we want to watch?

Exactly why I get most of my news from ATS/BTS. My boyfriend works for the state department so I get the "real" news from him anyway. Peace.

with occasional peppering of polical issues. 50/50 Laura Miller or Terrell Bolton/presidential

i just check my weather from www.aviationweather.gov... and www.intellicast.com.... i never watch the news. it's always too depressing.
