Okay, this is the whole code from my placemark, it should have the exact location. Its a kind of rectangular shpe that looks to be glowing. I'm using
the latest version of google earth & am in the Uk if that makes any difference.
Well, the fans are easy. That's to keep the air fresh in the tunnels that the drug smugglers have built under the border. Can't be having them pass
out and drop their loads, now can they.
The second one was a bit harder, but I think it's an Egyptian glyph showing than everything from the Sea of Cortez north to the Great Desert was
Seriously, very interesting pictures. Judging by the lack of buildings, I can't see any reason for moving the volume of air those fans are capable
of, so one has to assume there is an underground structure there. But a structure of such size would lead one to expect a larger parking/staging area.
It would be interesting to know what traffic that area gets.
But it's not the fans that I find really interesting, it's the structure coming off the Mexicali fans that makes me wonder. I have never seen
anything like that.
Is there an on-going google earth oddities thread? I feel like I'm hijacking the thread topic from the OP and for that I apologize. I think I will
start a new thread because I have been looking at Google Earth for a long time and have some good ones I think ATS might enjoy discussing.
