Palasheea,
I presume that Mike added the "copyright" text to the photo only because several of his recent entries have been copied and pasted, uncredited, by
other websites.
Mike isn't claiming to have taken the photo. He is merely protecting his original interpretation just in case it gets copy/pasted. You or I would
do the same in this circumstance, I'm sure.
Carry on...

Thanks Tuning Fork for that bit of information!
And Mike -- this FACE you found is mind blowing!
It's amazing to see how symmetrical that face is and how it's so anatomically and proportionally correct. The existence of that FACE is NOT through
some accident of nature.. this very clear to see.
And it's also amazing in its detail where we are EVEN seeing WHISKERS!!
Once again, GREAT FIND!

Sad to say the least and this is not the first time nor will be the last one.
The problem is that many people gives the star to the post with which they agree, no matter if this post adds content to the discussion, no matter the
quality of the post by itself.
I've learned to do not look at the number of the stars before reading a post: if i consider the content really good, i star it, regardless i agree
or disagree with its content (and MANY times it happens to me to give a star to people with who i usually DISAGREE).
And an one line post is ALWAYS an one line post, (unless it's a link or a question)
so is ALWAYS wrong to encourage the one-line post with stars IMHO, but maybe i'm wrong.
Anyway...

I have to agree with greeneyedleo...this is indeed the face of a lion.
It was clear to me as soon I as saw it...whiskers n all. I did not have to use my imagination...it is clear for all to see.

You and Zorgon The Magnificent are not wrong about the one line posts that get stars. Smaller minds cannot discern between agreement and skilled
presentation.
In Space Exploration, I send a U2U to posters of one liners when I see them, as a reminder, but after that I give them a points deduction. Sadly,
there is no way to handle the stars, except, like now, to publicly point out that it is a sure indication of their status in the gene pool.

I think it "kinda" looks like a face, but Im pretty sure its natural. U can see faces in almost everything, if u wish hard enough for there to be a
face.
If I was the king who commissioned this face to be built, then I'd be rather pissed at the result

Spot on fURIX!! I would've fired the chief engineer too!
But you've got to keep in mind that what you're seeing is probably something that was constructed / carved a couple of hundred thousand years ago!!
You've seen what the sphinx have started to look like? They may not even be there in the near future!
What can you make out of cities that once flourished here a couple of thousand years ago and are now ruins? You can just about make out a few
geometric patterns and stones lying around. Check out the sat images and you'll see what I mean! Now I wouldn't think of sacking that chief engineer
for what I'm seeing today!! Would you??
Cheers!

The thing that gets me is what appears to be pupils. They look sort of intentional. The way that the shadow appears around both of them just dosnt
appear to be natural also the way that they are placed in the T zone with the "nose". The other thing that stands out to me is the way it looks
like it was quarried out. Personaly I dont think it looks like a lion I think it looks like the traditional image of Jesus. Ofcourse this is only an
opinion. Could just be a bunch of rocks. Cool post either way. Keep em coming.

Sorry I did not take a pic because I was too hungry but luckily someone already beat me to it.
Actually I think it looks more like Jesus.
And here is another..

Come one Zorgon, you have to admit this is a little on the extreme side. I don't know about you but this is what I see:

What is MORE interesting than a "new" FACE on Mars is exactly how MANY VERSIONS there are of the current "Ares Face" laying there in Cydonia.
I have put together images from ALL the orbiters to EVER have acquired the famous ( or infamous as one may view it ) orginal "HEAD" image first
found by Tobias Owen in 1976.
They all can be found here:
hiddenmessagejournal.com...
I started with the "CATBOX" infamous image because this is the FIRST image that NASA/JPL/MSSS released to the public after publicly announcing it
had targeted it and acquired it...so the "MEANSTREAM MEDIA" just pounced on it. With Dan Rather proudly saying..."See it was just a pile of rocks
all along...time to move along." that Sunday April night in 1998.
AGAIN...like in 1976 when Gerry Soffen took Owen's HEAD image out to the more than 1,000 news media and stated that "another picture was acquired
later showing it was nothing more than a trick of light and sahdow it had dissapeared'...NO ONE asked to see that second image CONFIRMING it was a
"trick of light and shadow".
NASA has since admitted that there NEVER WAS a second image confirming that on that day and that Mr. Soffen had LIED. Whether ORDERED to do so, or
did it on his own (why would one do that to the media?) we will likely never know.
BUT...even as we are now in the 'modern era' we can see that the "Shennanigans" about the "Ares Face" has not stopped with the vaious
images we have of it, the latest attempt being the "Unicorn Horn" put out by ESA/MSSS...also at the above site.

To lay this copyright issue to rest, here it is in layman's language:
It is TRUE that one cannot record live raw NASA television broadcasts and stamp a copyright upon them. These, as originally broadcast are, and
remain, in the public domain.
However…when one isolates selected portions from these raw recordings, and captures specific video clips from these, they become that persons’
WORK. Capturing still frame images, creating animated GIFs from those images, adding comments or markings, adding a voice over to a video clip,
zooming, and enhancing also amount to WORK done. It is the work, done by an individual, which can be copyrighted.
Jeff Challender, Project P.R.O.V.E
I hope that's clear then? Now let's move on!
Cheers!

Hi Mike,
I think it will later be shown that you have found a face, the odd's of a face like that with purfectly centred eye pupils must be more
than a million to one in nature. It does look in fact more Geometric than the Original face on mars. Maybe it has been partially protected due to it
being partly burried? I would estimate billions of years rather than thousands or even millions it would almost seem that it had been excavated at
some point having been burried.
