Japan Confronts Space Alien Invasion Plans

December 21, 2007: The Japanese Minister of Defense is calling for efforts to work out the military and legal issues that would result if Japanese were attacked by extraterrestrials. Two members of the Japanese cabinet have expressed personal beliefs in the existence of extraterrestrials out there, somewhere. Because of Japans 1947 constitution, there are restrictions on what actions the military can take. Basically, the Japanese military is, technically, a purely defensive force. But an extraterrestrial invasion might play out in ways that would find the Japanese military prevented, by lawyers, from moving against an extraterrestrial menace.

That's really interesting; truly.

I think most of us can agree there is something out there. Why the secrecy? Why do other countries seem to take this issue seriously?

What I mean is; in many other countries it seems as though the government acknowledges something is going on but, what they don't know. Here, any MSM talk of UFOs is met with snickers, jeers and suppressed smiles.

I wonder why when I see stories like this.

There's a thread opened by Shar_Chi about this very interesting news:

Another Japanese Cabinet Minister talks about UFOs

Japan could send an army of asimo robots to counter-attack those malevolent ETs!

Hook-em up with RPGs...

Why US Secrecy? To control and reverse engineer technology ( anti gravity ) for the purpose of war and not for the purpose of PEACE AND HUMANITY.
US Presidents don't even have acces to these secret black project space programs.
I'm sure they have bases on the moon and mars. Even hubble telescope is a space weapon. They also have nukes in space.

This is nothing but a thought-exercise. It is not the aliens that Shigeru Ishiba is worried about. It's Japan's neighbors to the West that concern them.

Often, when governments engage in these thought-exercises, they will use a mock name or figure in place of a real country or leader's name. For instance, in preparing to invade Cuba during the Missile Crisis, US Marines training exercises involved them invading a mock Carribean nation and remove it's leader "Ortsac" (Castro backwards).

In the case of Minister Ishiba, he is using alien invasion as a code-name for China and the DPRK. The same concerns he expressed about a "preventable attack" also apply to China and North Korea. Do you think Japan is more worried about aliens, or about Kim Jong-il launching a nuclear missile? Asking lawyers to consider the legal ramifications of repelling an alien invasion prevents embarassment or raising tensions with their neighbors. The answers or policies they create around "aliens" could be easily applied to more terrestrial concerns.

Argh, I had to change my response to you. At first, I thought he professed some belief AND made his point about the constitution of Japan in relation to defense. But on review of his statements, it does seem that he only goes as far as saying "They might exist, and if they do, they might be a threat". That serves the purpose you describe.

He doesn't say "I believe they exist and are controlled by intelligent entities".

The major problem with this subject is everyone expects this "Alien" attack to come from an outside source. But the sad truth is, its already over, and it came from within. Just look at what we Human Beings are doing to each other, globally!!!!

They planted their filthy seed of division, greed, and ignorance, then went on their merry way, leaving us to do the killing for them. Their greatest weapon was one we couldn't comprehend because it is spelled illogically, psychology!!

Good luck people, only one way out of the matrix and most cant see it.

Logic and light

Merry Christmas

Japan takes UFOs seriously. However, Americans don't take the Japanese seriously because maybe I think a lotta people assume that Japan also takes Godzilla seriously.

Not that they do, obviously! But Americans are dumb, so I wouldn't be surprised that Americans would read that and go "Yeah and dur duh dur duh dur Godzilla, hur hur hur!"

What in the world are you talking about?

I see a different angle on this: one that SaviorComplex's first post tackled.

The up-side is that Japan (and subsequently, other countries) will have to develop sophisticated equipment to encounter this 'threat'. This could propel our global civilization ahead technologically, perhaps even making us more capable of defending ourselves in the event of such an attack.

The down-side is that an extraterrestrial offensive weapon may be exponentially more devastating when applied terrestrially -- i.e., between nations.

So, while I'm not suggesting that this is the case, what if this was a covert-yet-blatant move by the Japanese Govt. to develop a new class of offensive and defensive weapons, which might otherwise be hindered by the restraints on Japan's military development?

Perhaps, if we would just stop ridiculing each other for a moment, we might make better sense of what's going on.

PS: Edited for minor grammatical changes.

As was mentioned in the other related thread on this topic - I agree 100% that this has to be a direct result and reaction to whatever the Japanese have seen and discovered on the Moon with their first and new orbiter Kaguya which just started sending its first pics back last month. Here is the Japanese space agency site:Jaxa

I would say this is good evidence for anyone who believes in ET artifacts and activity on the Moon. It seems the Japanese are not as good at staying tight lipped like the US or retaining their composure after making such discoveries -or else perhaps they just have a better more open and honest relationship with their citizens.

A very good point! The question I guess is how much intelligence do the Japanese have about an extraterrestrial threat that they are not releasing to the public.

You can bet your shiny lil boots that the good ol' US Government has an contingency plan in place...and two more contingency plans if those fail.

Every rational, sovereign body, has some sort of contingency plan in case their sovereignty is attacked by whom or what ever.

The Japanese are just acknowledging the fact that serious discussion needs to be held on the subject which in and of it's self is disclosure of sorts....but bare in mind....

Mr Ishiba said he was examining different scenarios for an ... "The government has not confirmed the existence of 'unidentified flying objects...

news source

They are NOT comming out and saying an "attack is immanent" they are being careful not to piss off "the powers that be"....but they are openly talking.

I find it strange that after sending satellites around the moon, japanese officials start talking about their belief in UFOs and now talking about national defense against such threat.
Did they really see something there?
