How Do You Quote External Sources?

Topic started on 20-12-2007 @ 04:32 PM by Sestias

When you are quoting a news or external source, how do you get the box that says "Snippet from news item" or "content from external source"? And how do you put material in the box? I feel dumb asking, but I haven't figured it out yet. I have a classic Mac, with old browsers (like icab 2.9), and have only basic computer skills. I'm also having problems with making links. Thanks for your help.

For news sources, you wrap them with the following tags:

[news]Lorem ipsum.....[/news]

Comes out like this:

Lorem ipsum.....

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

For other external snippets, use the following tags:

[ex]Lorem ipsum.....[/ex]

Which gives you this:

Lorem ipsum.....

Edit to add --

For URL links, you wrap it with the following tags:

AboveTopSecret

Comes out this way:

AboveTopSecret
