This is a small scale family minded model useful in emergency's or farm style off grid property's.

But the systems real possibility's have not been recognized in north America , other country's like Sweden and Norway are light years ahead of us.

By harnessing the true potential of our own waste the world could have a realistic sustainable fuel.

ALOT of info in this pdf

www.cumminspower.com...

"With the development of large reciprocating generator sets
that can run reliably on alternative fuels such as low-Btu
(i.e. dilute) methane, landfills, waste treatment plants, coal
mining facilities and other sources of waste fuel now have
a way to harness these “free” energy sources. Low-Btu
reciprocating generator sets use proven technology to
produce significant amounts of power from fuels that would
otherwise be vented to the atmosphere, including methane,
a “greenhouse gas” that has been implicated in global
warming. This paper outlines the process for determining
waste-to-energy site suitability, reviews the maintenance
issues and technology answers related to contaminants
often found in methane, and cites several working wasteto-
energy installations as examples of installed waste-toenergy
applications."

A nice idea. Considering the largest and most lasting thing this modern human race will leave behind is rubbish, any way we can get rid of it while helping the environment is worth a shot.

I can't get the image of throwing rusty tin cans and old boots into a furnace out of my head . . .

Yea ive been to this site and i watched a show on discovery awhile back that showcased the Norwegian sewage treatment.

It astonishing how much organic waste is produced in N America not including our own sewage theres pigs cows sheep chickens ect and all of the organic waste from restaurants and homes, grocery stores too. All of this combined could cut our need for crude nationally by 30 % or more. And the best part is its all very renewable and clean.
