is an angry polemic written by a pro-America Frenchman, they seem to exist, who has had it with the anti-Americanism and accompanying hypocrisy in Europe, albeit especially in his beloved country. In Anti-Americanism the author shows that most anti-Americanism in Europe is contradictory, hypocritical and – above all – caused by anti-liberalism (as in classical liberalism, free markets, and capitalism) than anything else.

Not sure if thats really pertinant for today, that book was written before the war in Iraq by Revel who was a fervent anti-communist neo conservative philosopher. He is dead now, yes. I think he was writing about his perspective on this during the 90's and up to/including 9/11 .

He may be dead I don't know. But, what he has written about still holds true. yes socialist/communists despise america. The communist manifesto is a blue print on how to spead socialism and communism. One of the tenants is controleof media and education! The reason for this is that if you controle the dissimination of information you can controle the oppinions of the population. controle the education and you controle the minds of the young. I notice you you have an image of che guevara a man who killed tens of thousands in Cuba. I wonder why? the man was a true monster. Finally captured and killed in Bolivia I think.

Yes the multi-million dollar oligopolies and weapons manufacturers that own and control the media, flood the airwaves with socialist and communist propaganda. Lol. I find quite the opposite, they flood the 'people's' airwaves with pro-business and laissez faire propaganda...

I hardly think communism has the pervasive control over european media you envisage , perhaps in france there is a tendency towards a more socialist viewpoint, in fact he was probably talking more about his own countrymen , or the french elite who have mostly held an anti-american view.

I do not know what my avatar has to do with any of this. If you wish to blame che guevara , you can also blame the french revolutionary tribunal for their executions after the french revolution, maybe you can blame oliver cromwell, or how about the Bolsheviks for the deaths during the russian revolution, I do not see what they have to do with your post, or is it just ad hominem .

This french philosopher was influenced by a very different type of media available to most europeans today , he would be subjected more to the left french periodicals mostly read by him, his peers and contemporaries and other french intellectuals, not the kind of writings most europeans otherwise get exposed to. If anything, european popular media is right-wing orientated.

In fact, many media outlets in Europe are owned by Rupert Murdoch, same owner of Fox News . The question should really be how far right-wing media is influencing public opinion via propoganda, disinformation and blatant failure to report news that is considered undesirable to the right-wing agenda to be known to the general public .

CNN Host calls for Military to Silence any Domestic Dissent in America

Complaints and demands for a retraction and an apology are flooding CNN today after Neo-Con host Glenn Beck and ex-Marxist David Horowitz smeared Ron Paul supporters, libertarians and the anti-war left as terrorist sympathizers and inferred that the U.S. military should be used to silence them, parroting a talking point that traces back to a September 2006 White House directive.

This is part of an ongoing propaganda assault which has also been mimicked by other anti-American Neo-Con talking heads like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh.

Beck opened up his show segment by inferring that the U.S. military should be used to silence domestic dissent against the war, claiming that those he would later identify as Ron Paul supporters, libertarians and the anti-war left and link with terrorists, were a "physical threat."


"When you enlist in the U.S. military, you have take an oath that says you're gonna support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies - foreign and domestic - we talk a lot on this program about the foreign threats - maybe we should spend some time tonight on the domestic one....the physical threat may be developing domestically as well," said Beck.

Beck then goes on to make the absurd insinuation that Ron Paul supporters are a terrorist threat because they are causing disenfranchisement with the government. His evidence? The November 5th donation drive coincided with a 400-year-old piece of British history and Guy Fawkes plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

Beck then introduces his guests, the great grandson of Winston Churchill, and admitted former Marxist and now Neo-Con ideologue David Horowitz.

Yeah and you also knew that socialism isnt communism right? EVEN if it is an off-spring to communism it isnt communism, hard to grasp that eschew concept?

No, the only fact I know about, since I live in a very socialistic nation, because the government wants to run education is to PROVIDE it for FREE all up and beyond to university so it gains a higly educated working force - which isnt bad because it benefits both parties. The same with healthcare, but since USA hase been... cuddlesome expressed... fed with outraging anti-socialistic propaganda over 60 years you just respire force-fed propaganda as facts about the socialistic-system.

I'm not saying it's perfect, it really has some major "throwing lines" but I rather have free education then education I have to pay thousands of money that I just know that many don't have the wallate to afford.

Even most of the right-oriented society in EU is more left-winged-oriented then US is. And they are rich nations, they are powerfull nations and few of these nations is France, Germany, Sweden, and Norway for an example.
