Michael more recently produced a movie called "Sicko". This movie was released to "show the world" about cuba's health care system. Here is the truth about cuba! If you Have seen Sicko you must ask why he didn't find it nessesary to add the real story. www.therealcuba.com...

Most people don't realize that before Castro, Cuba had the 2nd highest standard of living in the western himisphere. Castro prommised to return democracy to Cuba. He has since raped this nation. It is truly discusting how effective the socialist propaganda is. It is not restricted to just Cuba though. It is so effective they really have people so twisted that they think america is distroying the world and these socialist/communist dictators are visionaries that should be immulated.

This is the real problem with Michael Moore movies. People watch them and think they're documentaries, but they're nothing more than entertainment. I've seen several of his movies picked apart and what you find is a very small amount of truth, a lot of partial truth to "help" the viewer form an opinion, and a few outright lies.

how about you provide a source that properly cites all of its facts and doesn't have a massive and ridiculous bias?

oh and how about one that doesn't selectively pick out info that supports its case without denying the rest of it?

Right, that was before the crippling US embargo was put into place.

It is truly discusting how effective the socialist propaganda is.

Could it be that this is because it has an element of truth in it?

I didn't get the last word. In what country did you get your education? I bet it was not Cuba.

there is no U.S. blockade of Cuba, massive or otherwise. that is a falsehood and an untruth! The United States has every right to deside who it will trade with. We won't trade with castro! here is a picture of a wharehouse in Cuba "much like Home Depot" but, they only sell to foreingers.www.therealcuba.com...

Of course they are biased. Looking at the pictures one can easily undertand why! Castro and his soviet style communism wrapped up in european style socialism has wrecked and impovershed that country.

nope, buddha brought up the real reason for that, the embargo crippled cuba. oddly enough, the embargo is also the thing that keeps castro's influence from floundering

you can't blame cuba's problems on a U.S. embargo! trading with the U.S. is not the basis of creating weath in a nation. most nations of the world continued to trade with cuba. they could buy and sell anthing they wanted from other nations. with the exeption of westrn high tech. but, that was true for all communist athoritarian governments. the problems of cuba is of it's own making.

trade with the USA was the CORNERSTONE of the cuban economy... because that's how the USA had set it up. sugar exports to the USA were a huge staple. other countries have also cut business to cuba because of it.

oddly enough, the embargo is what keeps castro in power... which is why it should be ended immediately.

anyway, at least cuba has 100% access to healthcare, even if it is 2 steps below the USA on the WHO ranking.
