Both sides seem to know, but the truth is neither of us do. Some of have a pretty good idea... But in all actuality, this conversation and ones like it is a dog chasing it's tail, in a proverbial sense, of course.

A even deeper analysis of the argument than this is that the argument is meaningless unless someone can demonstrate (even if they can't do it) that one or the other side is capable of being shown to be false.

Exactly my point, my friend. Just another childish "I'm right, you're wrong" topic.

Neither can prove it. Stop #ting on other's beliefs.

so here's my argument against the existence of god: they've had thousands of years to prove the existence of A god, ANY god, but they haven't.

Now madness, do you suppose if reality is virtual that time is not really what it seems and that it is possible that all the evidence supporting the last few thousands of years (and more) history is much like using the scripture to support the validity of the bible?

um... you missed the point of my thread, especially the humor in it as i'm not actually claiming that there isn't 100% proof of anything right off the bat saying that there CANNOT be a certain answer either way.

There is a qualifier in your statement. You say 100% proof.

Exactly 100% proof to who?

Ill speak for myself. My personal witness myself, is 100% proof to me, that God exists. Not up for debate. Witness and enlightenment is for that of the beholder.

What you should really be saying is, that there is about a 100% chance that mankind wont believe something unless they experience it themselves.

For me, theres a 100% chance, your postulate doesnt apply to me.
But theres a 100% chance it applys to you in not believing my testimony.

So your incorrect in saying there cant be a certain answer either way.

After all, I answered correct for you, and me, now didnt I.

Peace Brother

100 % PROOF

That's the key words.

I would hate to see many friendships lost...for the sake of these 2 words.

Both sides.

As a human being, I can only give my side of the coin.

All human beings will believe this...or that

Therefore, LOGICALLY...

All human beings tend toward biases. Hence...ANY answers we get from people WILL be biased (in one form or another/to one degree or another)

I took the approach of 'logic' in my above post, even though...

...I'm deist.

Does that make a difference?

I suppose I'm closer to beinga deist than anything else as well, I certainly believe in a God.. Your last sentence I certainly concur with. That's like the saying that I have:

Everyone has an agenda. If someone tells you that they don't have an agenda, they are either a liar or not smart enoutgh to know what agenda means.

Duckster, by the way, my previous post wasn't directed towards you.
