First, l wanted to congratulate you for your message, because even if I do not consider myself a skeptic regarding the UAP subject, I still share and understand a lot if not all of what you wrote.

What you just said right up there is a question that I have asked myself recently :

"What about asking the worth skeptics & scientific journalists and bring them
with me in Hessdalen Norway just for them to meet the specialists and see their data and equipment ?" In my country (France) this is exactly what I just did with a very notorious journalist & writter who is an anti-ISS, anti-Space Colonisation & Terraforming, anti-UFO-UAP.

Actually, I kind of like him but he refused this invitation and refused to read the studies that I sent him. I've seen the same kind of reactions in the biggest scientific forum using the French speaking language.

Luckily enough, I have only found one notorious skeptic & zetetician in my country, Ufologists hate him so much, they made shirts with his name and a target next to it (for real). Well, this guy is good to go, but you see what I've learned from my little experiment ? Most hardcore skeptic scientists are
not even willing to waste their time with this as it is in their BELIEF that UFO&UAP subject is connected to Aliens, so that the all thing is crap.

In my country we say : It is like throwing away the baby and it's bath water

Well long before this thread started JWL was writing me and I offered to host his stuff on my site... but as we don't charge... we also don't have a budget to PAY... Now if they have an issue with viewing them perhaps they could send them to ATS I am sure there is someone on hand who could view them...

I've been reading this thread for days now, and have even put in my 2 cents, for what it's worth. I must say that it has been very disappointing to watch how the thread has unfolded. I had hoped for more. It seems to me that alot of what I read here is nonsense. I wish this time it had turned out different.

Having experienced ummm 'a few' attacks since I started here I know how hard it is not to want to pick up the gauntlet (and smack em up side the head )

But this is the first time I have witnessed so many new members signing on JUST to attack... kinda hard to miss them... I know its impossible to implement... but maybe new posts should be approved for a few days...

One point on the ignore button though... while it is good against certain brainless nonsense, as a researcher you have to use it sparingly... else you will be accused of ignoring your opponents... its a tough decision... personally I have only used it once... I just learned to not answer them (most of the time )

The EXIF data indicates a long exposure of 16 seconds... if there were stars in the sky, they'd be bright and blurred. No stars in the photo... no stars... no "ships."

Well, IMHO it's sad that this has happened.

I'm also sure that if one reads from the first page and wades through the rhetoric of wordage and the off topic comments on this thread and the other threads one will find that there were a few who were, it seemed in my eyes, out to get his goat from get go.

Watching the events play out their course, it reminded me of when I was much younger, we would take a stick and keep poking at these snapping turtles, just poke, poke, poke... knowing darn well that sooner or later they would get sick of it and snap back at the stick even harder then what we were poking them and of course they always did.

Unfortunately, being a noob (which I understand is no excuse) to the board I believe Jose did not fully understand how to respond or ignore these comments "ATS style", some which to me it also seemed would not only rant in this thread but would follow his every move across to the other threads to post their barrage of non topic colorful comments. At least IMHO that is what it seemed like and the threads seem to show that.

I have watched how new visitors to this board and threads are treated and engaged and this is the first time it seemed to me that these comments were more geared towards a poster due to who he is with pretentious comments then to what he was posting or the subject at hand.

All that I'm saying is that to me it is a great loss for a chance of receiving input and engaging a serious researcher and presenter in the field of study in which I am very interested in and have devoted a great deal of my life to understanding and that his input would have been very welcomed above the normal...hey dude did you hear about this sighting or that sighting or the typical here's the link to the information I found, and of course the it's a hoax...no it's real back and forth Posts!!

Jose has had many one on ones with numerous witnesses and has first hand knowledge of events that I surely would have liked to have engaged in discussions on at a future date with him but it looks like that will not happen, at least not here on this forum.

I feel that the warm welcome that Jose received from some was less then courteous and that if this is the way that ATS members welcome higher profile members then few will follow in Jose's footsteps if this is the example and treatment they have instore.

With so many members reading between the lines yelling profiteer and such, second guessing and making up motives as to why he was here when it was apparent from the start that he was trying to put a stop to the personal attacks that were being left unchecked from Gridkeeper and calling for the same information and validation on a subject and evidence that has been presented to us and tolerated without verification or validation for quite sometime now.

Yea, maybe Jose U2Ued in a manner that was unacceptable, Maybe he thought that, that was what the U2U's purpose was for, I don't know and I won't second guess his intentions but I'll bet, just like when I was much younger...there was a bit of poke, poke, poking..before it got that far.

I wasn't aware of any previous discussion or what gridkeeper had to say, my own comments being based purely on this thread. The original intention of Mr Escamilla in this thread was to attempt to draw out JLW to reveal what the apparatus being used consisted of so that others could attempt to duplicate.

It is a shame that wasn't the only motive, maybe some comments would have been better made on the thread gridkeeper had posted on because that motive by itself was worthy. Too much other stuff though.

Maybe it can still be followed through to a conclusion with JLW or by others here.

I concluded long ago in this thread that this farce was about money and we at ATS helping him in his en devour. If you read all his posts it says that! Do you really think that this man was going to do this for free? Oh yeah! Free research for him! He never made mention that the person of discovery would be financially rewarded or otherwise, for his efforts in helping him on his quest. BIG red flag! Like I said in my earlier post, this man was using the intelligence of the people at ATS to invest and make 'possible' discovery of this BS. There is nothing in near or deep orbit that isn't tracked by our governments and even the non government entities that look to the sky. I know!

I'm one that still denies ignorance, without falling through the big holes. It's the little ones with a big name that will get ya.

I would suggest that anyone that has a set up , please look for them and report their findings here. Lets get some 'Real" closure ATS style.
