This highlights two clear issues. the quality and safety issues are so bad in China that thier own people are avoiding purchasing the toys if they can afford it. The other issue is the same one that hits both side of the Pacific. Poorer familes may simply not have a choice to go with more expensive products for thier kids. Thus already disadvantaged children get yet one more obstacle or burden to overcome.
