Well, I really don't see how the "
mainstream" media came to the conclusion that "impeachment hearings are outside the bounds of what the
congress ought to be doing"?
If Congress doesn't have hearings to find out
IF Cheney should be impeached, then who should?
Isn't it Congress's job to make sure nothing
illegal, unconstitutional, or immoral happens in the executive branch and to keep
the Executive Branch of government in check.
That is part of their job in Congress!
What Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) wants to start impeacment hearings against Cheney for is "
manipulating intelligence in the run-up to the Iraq
war,
obstructing federal investigations, and
conspiring to expose the identity of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame.
President Clinton had to go through impeachment hearings because he lied about an "affair(?)"/"encounter(?)" with an intern!
Aren't these allegations against Cheney
at least worthy of having an impeachment hearing and finding out if he
did or did not do
anything wrong and "worthy" of impeachment?
Rep. Robert Wexler has set up a website (wexlerwantshearings.com) where people who think that there should at
least be a
hearing to impeach Cheney can
sign a petition, the web address will be the first LINK in the ADDITIONAL NEWS
LINKS in the post above..
What could it hurt to just clear the air and find out if Cheney did or didn't do anything wrong?
