Now this is the type of "out-of-the-box" thinking we need more of in this world! Maybe there is hope for us yet! Does anyone know more about this technology? It seems too good to be true. But, if it is real - Hey OPEC! Take your oil and shove it up your...oh wait, can't say that on ATS.

I've heard about this as well. It really does sound too good to be true.

Honestly though, an invention like this feels like it is only delaying the inevitable. I think that the world will need to move away from fossil fuels eventually.

It is interesting but I doubt we will ever see much become of it. It would be cool though.

There are many good reasons to move away from burning oil/gas for power and transportation, not the least of which is pollution. What the video serves to do, even if a falsehood, is to plant a seed. The thought that oil may not be what we were told! To say that out loud is akin to heresy for any reputable peak oil Acolade.
But that seed took root for me a few weeks ago, and I was shocked that there was another side to the "Peak Oil" theory. One that seemed to make more sense of our world than the current dogma. I was just as guilty as the majority of following the herd mentality on Oil. The thought never occured that oil might not be a byproduct of decomosing dinosaurs.

It is, therefore, easy to shepherd the populace into an agenda. Common sense alone (without the need for a physics or geological or botanical background) dictates that oil can not be a fossil fuel. Fossils came from the earth and they, like mankind and all other living material, return to the earth from whence they were formed. So, they create nothing, including fuel. Oil like other materials on and inside the earth, is a source not a by product. Quite possibly a renewable source too!

you have to realize that we won't move away from these fossil fuels until every last drop has been sold. the oil companies are to busy getting rich. unless the value of oil drops or raises so high that nobody buys it, there is no chance of alternate energy becoming a major part of world ecinomics.

I cannot argue with your logic, only point is the term "fossil fuel". Not that it matters much, but if Dr. Gold's theory of oil is correct, then it is not a fuel based on organic matter, and is much more pleantiful than most were lead to believe.

The only real difference is that BS about the price of oil being linked to its scarcity is a blantant lie. That leaves only one real reason oil is going up in price....
